Chapter 193

Zelretch and I appear on top of one of the branches of Yggdrasil. I look around and see nothing in this place. It is rather peaceful.

"Are you sure this is the place? There is no attack coming here."

"Ah, don't be quick to judge. Here comes trouble."

After he said that, I immediately sensed a foul and biting cold energy coming from the south. I immediately take a battle stance and look at the source of trouble. I widen my eyes at the massive creature standing in the distance.

It was as tall as a human fortress in the past, and he was even taller than them. He is twenty meters tall with a body full of muscle that can tear the world asunder. His skin was an unyielding expanse of glacial blue, cracked with veins of frozen lightning. His eyes burn like twin shards of the coldest winter, pale and merciless. Each time he breathes, he releases a snowstorm. Each time he takes a step forward, winter is getting stronger.

"Hrym, The Frostbound Tyrant. According to Great Red, he is the strongest Frost Giant. Even stronger than Laufey, the king of Frost Giants."

Zelretch says that with a grim expression. He turns to me and says.

"Do you need help, Ryan?"

I shake my head, and a card appears from the Gate of Babylon and lands on my hand.

"No. Just make sure you are done with your job and protect Yasaka for me."

Zelretch nods his head and creates a portal to do his job. I push my mana into the card and say.

"Install! Lancer!"

I can feel my body change. My hair gets longer, my connection to Yggdrasil gets stronger than before, and I can feel a rush of limitless Senjutsu entering my body, enchanting my body even further.

"Fuuuu"

I release a sigh and nod at my new power. I look at the giant in front of me, who ignores me as he takes out a giant warhorn and blows it up. I grunt a little at the horrific sound of his warhorn and watch as a crack appears in the sky.

A massive Viking longboat appears from the crack and slowly descends on top of the branch. I watch more frost giants coming out of the ship but ignore them because I feel something foul coming from the ship.

It has the same nature that Hrym releases but a thousand times stronger. That must be Pandora's Box and the reason why he is coming here. It looks like I need to prevent them from reaching here.

I take a deep breath and fly into the air. I float in front of the army of frost giants and say.

"Hrym of the Frost Giant! A step further, and you shall meet your doom! This tree is guarded by me! Sage of the World, Ryan Hernandes!"

Hrym looks at me for a second before roaring in laughter. The other frost giants follow him. After a few seconds of laughter, Hrym points his axe at me and says,

"Not even a God, yet you dare to stand before me. You make me laugh, human. Go, and I shall ensure you are spared. Stand in our way, and your death will be long and painful."

His voice vibrates through the battlefield, but I am not moving. I look at him, release all my killing intent, and say.

"Then come! Come and try to kill me!"

|3rd POV|

A massive golden circle appears underneath Ryan as he says.

"Witness! The creation of all treasures of the world!"

A second later, a massive number of weapons shoot out of the golden circle and fly toward Hrym and his army.

Hrym widens his eyes and swings his giant axe as hundreds of weapons that can be considered Noble Phantasm fly toward him at high speed.

If Gilgamesh had the Gate of Babylon, the Treasury of Humanity, which contains all the treasures of humanity, Enkidu would have had the Age of Babylon, the Wisdom of Humanity, which would have allowed him to create all the treasures of humanity.

At this moment, Ryan creates all the weapons that make any pantheon drool, and he is firing them as if a bullet that costs nothing.

Unlike the limited version of a servant in Nasuverse, this world still has its Age of Gods, which is still ongoing. That means he has access to all weapons humanity ever produces and does not need to worry about them only coming from one era. This world still only has one era, the Age of Gods.

Hrym grits his teeth and roars. A second later, the entire Asgard changed seasons. The previous stormy and sunny day changes into winter, and a snowstorm descends into the world. He can see ice fly around his body, obscuring his body from others.

Ryan looks in surprise when he sees all the weapons he has sent toward the frost giant freeze mid-air and fall to the ground harmlessly. Only certain types of weapons that move undisturbed.

Hrym looks at Ryan and says.

"I don't know what kind of human you are to create all those weapons. However, it is enough. I have given you a chance to run away, but you do not take it. It is time for you to die."

Hrym raises his axe above, and Ryan can feel a massive amount of energy gather around his axe.

"Feel the creeping cold of death! Come! The Eternal Winter, Fimbulwinter!"

Hrym roars, and the world trembles. Light shoots out of the ship behind him, and the foul energy merges together into him. The air freezes solid. Light itself dims. Everything stops—no fire, movement, or sound—only the creeping, unrelenting cold of the void. Ryan feels it immediately. His magic slows. His muscles stiffen. This is not just ice. This is the death of warmth itself.

He can see Hrym's body crack as black ooze comes out of his body. His eyes now show nothing but madness in there.

"Be honored, mortal! For you witness the power that shall cut through Yggdrasil!"

This is the attack that can cut the Yggdrasil in half. Ryan can feel it. Inside of him, Enkidu tells him that this attack can destroy the 'world,' for if Yggdrasil is cut in half, the world shall descend into madness, ending the world. Whatever energy Hrym absorbs is pure chaos and madness that will corrupt the Tree of Life itself.

It is enough. It is enough to make his Noble Phantasm shift.

His Noble Phantasm shifts, and now he is here not as Chain of Heaven who can even bind the heaven itself. His job here is to defend the world itself. He is now the protector of the world.

"I will awaken the breath of the planet! For I walk with humanity."

The world sings the song of creation. It sings the song of the ancient—the song of the past. The song was born from the day the planet was still in the Age of Fire.

The people who fight underneath Yggdrasil can see a vision in their minds. The vision of the planet since it is nothing but molten lava. They watch as the first life is born on the planet before it evolves and becomes what it is today.

"Therefore… Enuma Elish!"
