Chapter 65

Since I saw no hope of meeting Richard, who still refused to meet me (at least according to Jess's confession as the only person was allowed to visit Richard), I decided to go home and reflect on my mistake with my boyfriend as suggested. Jess.

"Are you sure you don't want to wait here, at least until he is ready to meet you?"

"No. I don't think he wants to meet me right now, so it's better for me to leave this place."

"All right, then. If that's your final decision, I have no rights to stop you from going home," replied Jess, who finally gave up on asking me to stay in her boss's apartment. "Do you need me to send you home?"

"No, thanks. I'll take a bus or taxi."

Jess turned his head slightly away from me and breathed a sigh of relief when he heard my refusal to come home with him.

"Phew, that's good if you don't need me to send you home."
