Things to do:
Serve wholeheartedly- Most services nowadays have a commission or payment. I personally as a Youth Public Servant, Youth Leader of church, and at the same time, I am a youth servant who will respond to the call of duty. Based on my personal experience in this service. It's not easy, you need a lot of effort and enough money for the job. Although it's not easy, but it's a great feeling, to see those you help happy, And the same if they learn something and grow from what you teach for sharing the word of the Lord.
Although it is not easy to serve others, people and God. But it's so worth it!
There is no need to be a well-known person, if you are not using it in service. Because the true Servant does not desire anything in return and reward from those you help. But you helped many in need.
"The service is not immediate, but it is for Lifetime." -Rtr. Jholios E. Fatal
Because true service to God and others is a symbol of a Being with Love and concern for his subject. "The true servant does his duty without expecting anything in return and more than that the true Leader and Servant has no other purpose than to serve." As a good and faithful servant to the Real servant don't try to use God for their purposes. They let God use them for his purposes.
Face the trials, don't be afraid – If you are a Leader and are afraid to face the responsibilities as a leader, you are not a Leader. The true Leader is not shaken by the trials that are given to him. He is ready to face and finish everything according to his duty. To a Leader who cares for others, the self is more important than himself. Because the Leader is not just a Leader. You need to create and grow your constituents.
Service start in your mind- Servant focus on others, not themselves. This is true humility; not thinking less of ourselves but thinking ourselves less. They are self- forgetful, " Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hands." This is what it means to lose your life – Forgetting yourself in service to other's. When we focusing on your own need, we become aware of the needs around us.
• Servant think like stewardship not owners – servant remember that God owns it all. In the bible, a steward was a servant entrusted to manage an estate. Therefore, Servanthood and stewardship go together. That, since God expects us to be trustworthy in both. The bible says is that, "The one thing required of such servant is that they be faithful to their master."
How are you handling the resources God has entrusted to you?
To become real servant you are going to have to settle the issue of money in your life. Jesus said, "No servant can serve two masters… you cannot serve both God and money." Living for ministry and living for money are mutually exclusive goals."
Which one will you choose?
If you're a servant of God, you can't moonlight for yourself. All your time belongs to God. He insists on exclusive allegiance, not part time faithfulness.
In fact, money has the greatest potential to replace God in your life. More people are sidetracked from serving by materialism than by anything else. They say, "After I received my financial goals, I am going to serve God ." So, that is a foolish decision they will regret for eternity. When Jesus is your Master, money serves you, but if Money is your master, you become its slave. Servant of God are always more concerned about ministry than money.
• To Be Servant I Must Think Like A Servant
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." – Philippians 2:5
They serve the Lord with gladness. Why do they serve gladness? Because they Love the Lord. They're grateful for his grace, they know serving is the highest use of life, and they know God promise a reward. " The father will honor and reward anyone who serves me." Paul said, " He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other Christians."
The only really happy people are those who have learned how to serve.
