After three more years, he felt he reached the peak of the Law Awakening Realm for his other two laws. Each time his understanding of law increased more qi automatically established itself in his mind. He was also able to reach the ninth realm of body cultivation.
Jahdiel felt a dreadful feeling, which made him decide to move away to an isolated place. So it was the first time he traveled to the Great Eastern Forest, which stood east of the Haoma Sect. As the west was a giant desertic land, this forest was actually the only forest in the world.
There were some small groves spread through the central region.
These groves did not completely give place to human agriculture, because of different reasons, some times the local powers were just too weak to completely eradicate the small woods without severe losses, and other times they use the grove as a form to train their youth or to keep collecting the resources in it, some were even left because they were beautiful...
The forest was slowly being pushed back by the Haoma Sect expansion. The forest land near the sect was really dense in qi and was perfect for cultivating herbs, but the qi beasts there were not weak either so it was quite a slow process.
It is speculated that the only out of the desert colony, Eden City, in a land beyond the sea stood at the other end of the Great Eastern Forest given the similar environment, but no traveler had survived the deadly route between the Haoma Sect to Eden City, as the qi beasts on the center of the Forest were the strongest.
The Great Forest was an area of tall, evergreen trees and a high amount of rainfall. The forest had a routine, every single day it ran. How much deeper one goes into the forest denser the rains become. The rain is rich in qi. With his high sensibility to the law, Jahdiel was able to feel like this water was sort of connected to a very powerful water law, which surprised him. As there was probably too much water, the connection was very weak, normal Law Awakeners Cultivators would not be able to feel it.
'Will I someday find out why the climate in this world is so strange? One-third of the continent is a giant desert, the center has your average climates like equatorial, tropical, and temperate, and the eastern region is too humid even for a rainforest, as the rain kept on increasing I feel like in the center it may densely rain twenty-four ours every day of the year.
Maybe this absurd size of trees is where all this water goes. If not for them this place might have turned into an ocean. Seriously trees became bigger and bigger until 380 feet trees became the average.' Jahdiel thought.
Because of the trees, the forest in itself was a very dark place. In fact, Jahdiel was only able to guess when the sun is born because he could feel a slight increase in temperature, due to his high-level cultivator senses.
He is only able to know went it rains because of the sound the water do when it splashed on the trees and because sometimes weak leaves would not be able to bare with the water's strength and fall. Painting the soil yellow, which he can only see by lightning a fire. There was a good point however, lighting was practically none existent.
These leaves became the fungi in the dark forest and some insects' feast. There was so many species in this forest, some thing that would make a lover of nature to be obsess in visiting. Jahdiel wanted to see the sun so much, so he climbed a tree.
It was a hard job, not just because of how big the tree was, even if it was not that big compared to its neighbors; but because of how the species lived on the giant tree. He found a green devil. It is what people in this world called a qi beast which resembles a Western Green Mamba, but has double the size of one, and very strong venom, which scared even peak-rank cultivators. The venom was never on the black market because of how scarred cultivators are from the snake.
There was also a legend that once a cultivator in ancient times tried to make a pill using the beast poison, and the heavens itself got a range of it and killed the cultivator. Jahdiel believed the story was just a fairy tale, however. There was a tribe of over a hundred Red-Four Armed Spider Monkeys, which were basically giant Spider Monkeys with four 'arms' and 'legs' and red fur.
There was also a heavenly bees hive, which Jahdiel have to be careful not to poke at because isolated heavenly bees might be weak, but together they were a pain. And Rain Bird. All animals should a level of killing intent when looking at Jahdiel, so Jahdiel answered in kind, his strength made his killing intent terrifying and so all animals fucked off. However before he could scare the green devil away, his pet screeched.
"Go little Roc." Jahdiel said to his pet. The Roc quickly tore the snake with his claws and feasted on it.
In the end, he did not need any technique from the Eight Treasure Sect for it, with his understanding of the vitality and soul law he was able to create a great technique, son after breaking through the law awakening realm.
With this technique he could connect to his pet quite deeply, they formed a strong bond, as he connected his vitality(through his blood, which he used to nourish the baby Rog) and soul, he established a connection that reached the beast's mind. He started to connect his mind with his pet and help it cultivate.
His pet cultivation journey was much easier than his, first because beasts cultivate in a very similar way to body cultivation, but the process was much easier for them, to the point if given enough time and resources beasts could for sure reach the eighth realm of cultivation.
The ninth realm of beast cultivators was much harder to reach than all the previous ones because they would have to understand a law. Ironically beasts only gain wisdom after reaching the ninth realm, so a beast would have to decipher a law based only on its beastly instincts.
The only law beast that has ever been documented in the history of this world was the founder of the Law Empire. The empire was already in the fourth generation of ancestors, which shows how old that nation is if one considers how long a ninth-realm cultivator lived. Considering that the founder is long gone, the claim is pretty much contested.
After he sat at the top of the palm tree, he could feel like the dreadful sensation was getting stronger and he could say it was coming the sun was still rising in the sky and no signs of clouds appear, but the lighting suddenly felt Jahdiel body than another, and another...
His body kept healing at a speed visible to the naked eye. The areas around the tree started to change it was like space was becoming distorted, illusory willless spirits started to appear, and the area start to bloom with vitality. His body was now on the verge of breaking through, after only a thousand rays of lightning.
The first rays were nothing to him they felt like a taser, but after the hundred of thousand rays, it started to become painful. His body and soul started to become damaged faster than he could heal. It was terrible, so he gave up to pass the tribulation on his own, and activated the law formation he had spread into his body. His body and soul quickly healed.
A heavenly tribulation was a very strange thing, the lighting from it simply did not follow the laws of physics first because it appears out of nowhere and it disperse into energy son after passing through the target. With this, the leaves of the palm tree, which Jahdiel was sitting in were being nourished by vitality.
There was something that he was unable to pay attention to because of all of his pain.
The experience of being attacked by a heavenly tribulation was painful to Jahdiel, but enlighting to his pet. By being connected to Jahdiel's mind, his pet started to by his instincts to grasp the law of lightning, which is very limited because it does not include electromagnetism as a whole only lightning. However, influenced by Jahdiel's law of space, the law of lightning ended up mutating into a law of Heavenly Lighting, which could not, in fact, be separate from the Heavenly law itself; so the Roc started to grasp the Law of Heaven.
Slowly the space around the tree started to feel like a separate heaven. Heaven lacked an Earth, so it end up with some substitutes, which were sort of connected to Earth like souls(mortality), spacetime(physical medium of the Earth), and vitality( life nourisher). With this, heaven starts to fight against heaven.
It worked as a domain that protected Jahdiel, as the Roc was not passing a tribulation. Normally the number of rays, directed against Jahdiel would increase because of the unintended help, but the way heaven was born within heaven puzzled Heaven and Earth sensing so much that it could not judge tribulation increase properly.
Because a heaven and earth, which is different from heaven and earth, being born in heaven and earth was a walking contradiction. As the heaven law mixed with the other laws, it formed a much stronger domain protecting Jahdiel. To the point that heaven would have mixed Jahdiel if he have simply moved around.
Meanwhile, the formation in Jadhiel's body kept on breaking and Jahdiel kept on repairing it. He was forced to improve with all this pressure, he started to improve his body formation during the attack. Jahdiel could feel his body surpassing the limit of this world, but something was restricting it from interfering with anything, but the tribulation. Jahdiel decided to try to defend himself with that special sword artifact he gained from an enemy. It helped was quite helpful, until the law formation in it broke.
At some point, where Jahdiel has already lost count of how many rays have fallen he could feel his cultivation realm having visible changes. The laws, in his mind, were changing his soul and body at a fundamental level.
It was like his body was turning into a vitality and soul spacetime, while his heaven and earth soul was becoming actually heaven and earth, with the law of spacetime changing it at a fundamental level, the law of vitality nourishing it, and the law of souls strengthing it. After this, he became used to the heavenly lighting, even if it still was getting stronger, with his fastly increasing cultivation it was nothing more than an annoyance.
In Jahdiel's heavenly tribulation, there was half a million, thirty-one thousand, four hundred and forty-one bost of lighting. This number may seem absurd and it was. The tribulation by nature is adjusted in a not much fair matter to increase depending on one's laws. Some basic laws like air, water, and fire led to only nine rays of lighting, because they were not that strong, while complex and very strong ones like soul, vitality, or spacetime led to eighty-one rays. More than one law led to the number of rays for each law being multiplied by each other. So Jahdiel had to deal with the cubed eight one rays of heavenly lightning.
Jahdiel could see a space gateway open for himself, and the gravity of this world could not hold him back as he ascended. He saw that the revenge button on his system was workable, so he clicked on it.
