Chapter 16:legacy inheritance test(part 2)

Currently, Jahdiel was at the Spirit Formation Realm Stage IX, after he got his revenge on his girlfriend and that young master, he jumps to the Spirit Formation Realm Stage VI, while in the test he break through three stages, he only needed time, and the resources to break through the next stage.

The next stage demigod realm would have been hard to break through in the Mortal Continent, but in the Immortal Continent things were easier, because a resource that was extremely rare, and super expensive, and the cause of war in the mortal continent was relatively common in the Immortal Continent.

This resource was named divine qi energy essence, which was an energy that was a superior version of qi. This essence could be found in several resources in the Immortal Continent, like immortal herbs, qi metals, minerals, special waters, and so on... The demigod realm was all about evolving the qi that one has to divine qi, after evolving the process was complete one would break through the next stage the god realm, where one would accumulate more divine qi.

The first four places and a 'fifth place' chosen by the evaluator were selected for the next test, while the rest was eliminated. The participants of the tournament gained points, which they could use to buy more things in the story according to their classification, the ones that were eliminated right away gained zero points, the ones that reached only until the quarterfinals gained one thousand points, the ones that reached only until the semifinals gained six thousand points. The second place gained thirsty-six thousand points. Jahdiel that won first place gained two hundred and sixteen thousand points.

Jahdiel's enthusiasm quickly died down, when he saw that the store suffered a sharp inflation, so he conformed himself to buying more toothpaste for his pet, and no he did not forget that birds do not have teeth, it is only that the toothpaste was also good to keep the birds' beak clean, or at least he tried to convince himself...

The next stage was a written exam about alchemy, even though this test was very old the test kept itself academically accurate, Jahdiel was not sure if this was because the Dao cultivator was an expert beyond his time or because the basics of alchemy did not change much from his time, with only new recipes appearing.

Although Jahdiel was specialized in formations, he knows a lot about alchemy because of how important alchemy products are for the creation of good formations, he lacked practical experience in alchemy, however. Because of this knowledge, Jahdiel could answer most of the questions. The one to which he did not know the answer at once, he quickly brainstormed, analyzing the scenery in his head, and reached an accurate conclusion.

'Damn, why did I have to make the test correction automatic, that bastard passed. I even made his test have more difficult questions than the other contenders. How could a yang physic retard pass? He must be cheating somehow, that's the only logical answer. But how the hell he cheated me, the spirit of a Dao cultivator.'

"Hello, I am the evaluator of the exams a remaining spirit of the Dao cultivator, which left this legacy inheritance test. Now let's proceed with the next stage. I will present my technique to every single of you and give you a scroll explaining it.

Each one will have a separate small workshop, you have a week to learn my technique. Only talent can inhere my legacy. The untalented do not need to worry, however, as you may keep the memory of the knowledge I present to you, and maybe in a million years, you may master it. Kkkkkkkk." the remaining spirit said.

The technique's name was Wise Fire of Vitality. To understand the technique one would at least have to understand the fundamentals of alchemy. Alchemy is about the production of medicine, poison, or other valuable substances with the use of special materials. Medicine and poison are produced with herbs, they can be made as potions, elixirs, and pills.

One basic technique in the production of pills referred to as alchemy fire is basically a fire made of qi used to gradually fuse the qi nature of different herbs, while the fire 'burns' the herb substances and turns them into only substance, which should have the properties of the merged substances.

This technique is an evolved version, which aims not only to fuse the remaining qi on the herbs, but the remains of vitality in them, as the vitalities merge into one on the produced pill, it strengthens the effect of the qi and pushes the pill to evolve, a pill made with mortal herbs with this technique may end up having an effect as strong as an immortal herb, but being safer to direct consumption, because the qi became tamer in the medicine.

With this technique one creates a flame, that as if it was alive, dances through the herbs liquefying them, while it gently merged their vitality, then the flame quickly spread in as it connects all qi signatures into the fused vitality and liquefies the remaining matter of the herbs, meanwhile the flames move like a vortex as it mixes the substances, finally the flame subsides. It was a technique that demands an analytics observation to reach a profound understanding of a herb's inner structure and very strong control over qi.

With his soul physics and law, Jahdiel's ability to insert precise control over his qi reaches a very high threshold. Combined with his understanding of the vitality law, 'understanding' a herb was a piece of cake to him. With his strong soul, and by consequence mind, Jahdiel could have reminded the memories of the remaining spirit demonstration of the technique back, like a video, with perfect precision. Although the scroll with the technique he received was quite vague, it was enough for Jahdiel, which learned it in a day.

One week passed and Jahdiel was the only one who based to the next test. 'I gave this bastard an incomplete scroll, how the hell he succeeded? Now to the next test, I will make sure he fails.' Jahdiel passed the test by refining a low-level herb.

"For the next stage, you must produce this pill recipe according to the recipe I gave." The remaining spirit told Jahdiel.

This recipe was, in fact, a recipe the deceased expert, came up with when he was drunk. As a great alchemist, his professional instincts did not decay, when he was drunk. However, he had been more prone to test crazy ideas so to say, how many poor innocent cauldrons and equipment suffered because of this, the remaining spirit did not know. This recipe was not dangerous, it was just incredibly hard.

Jahdiel had to use the method he learned in this test and others the spirit showed him how to do at the speed of lightning, to ensure he did not learn. However, it was useless even if Jahdiel did not have extra time to learn this method. They were simpler than the Wise Fire of Vitality and Jahdiel was already getting the hang of them.

The recipe used the following ingredients a stage I worm body, which was in the higher realm no different from a mortal enemy; a stage I domestic chicken feather, also nearly no different from a mortal chicken; grass; and a drop of your own blood.

Jahdiel had to use Wise Fire of Vitality to merge the worm body, the chicken feather, and the drop of blood into a 'pill', fussing the little remaining vitality two of these ingredients have with the large amount that the blood of a cultivator has, without the weaker vitalities being damaged, fusing the qi later, and the substances at the end the result would be a bloody mist in the form of a pill, the blood of a cultivator may be strong enough to resist the fire, but the other ingredients were completely turned into gas, making the result being a mist in form of a pill.

Before it was dissipated, Jahdiel used a technique with his left-hand index finger, which made a sort of suction whirlpool, which formed a gaseous qi net that detains the mist from dissipating and continued mixing it for the homogeneity not to be lost. This technique was called qi essence extraction.

The alchemist with the legacy for inheritance created it because he considered that the performance of the alchemy equipment around his time was below his standard.

Later Jahdiel used another technique called Qi Essence Infusion, to insert the substance into the grass crown. He had to wait a week for the grass to properly change, after which the grass turned red. Jahdiel used another technique called the Golden Green Palm and took the grass out of the ground, without damaging its quality. He then used the Wise Fire of Vitality to turn the grass into a pill. With this, he had a blood-red pill.

"So you pass." the remaining spirit said trying to hide his disgust, as a Dao alchemist, he was too prideful to lie about the result of a pill."This pill is useless. I only created it for amusement. You can throw this thing away."

"Senior, I would like to keep it as a souvenir to remember about his moment." Jahdiel said, he was suspecting the spirit was trying to deceive him, which he was right.

"If you say so. Ok. Now the last and most difficult test, at least for you." The spirit said.

Jahdiel felt sleepy and had a weird dream.

"Senior Li De is out of the sect on a mission, we can pass a quality time alone. " The woman said pressing her breasts on his body.

"No way in hell, you and Li De are married. I will not sleep with the wife of another." Jahdiel said. Who was this woman, apparently this was the wife of his best friend Li De, at least it came to his mind, but somehow this knowledge seems fake.

"But senior, if you have me for tonight, I am sure you can break throw the next realm." The woman said.

"No way, I am cuckolding my friend for a breakthrough. I will have a serious with Li De about your promiscuous behavior."Jahdiel said.

Jahdiel then wakes up from the dream.

'He passed. How the hell, he passed?'

The story behind this Dao cultivator expert was quite simple. His name was Li De. He had a best friend with a yang physic that had an enormous harem, while he was happy with only having a wife, that in his eyes was cute, smart, pretty, and beautiful. They had formed a long-ago sect in what now stands Liushangong sect. Later he found out his wife had been cheating on him with his best friend since their marriage.

She was only with him because this way she could siphon resources for her lover as he was the only Dao alchemist in the world and made a lot of money. His friend was also a Dao expert and he was a better fighter than him. After that episode his life seemed to have lost meaning, so he secretly made this legacy inheritance test, living a remaining spirit of himself to oversee it.

Making a test like this one, where the Cave Lions from the first test were simulated by a formation, was a long and arduous job. Li De was not specialized in formations, but he know a thing or two about them formations, and he compensated for his lacking formations with create quality alchemy products. While the real him planned to explode himself to kill without any change of reincarnation his 'best friend' and wife. As their sect stood where the Liushangong sect is now, the spirit guessed the real him succeeded.

Now, Jadhiel finally received his prize.
