If wizards encounter other types of elements spiraling out of control, they often do not intervene, allowing elemental imbalances to give rise to highly dangerous areas throughout the universe.
For example, if the Water Element goes haywire, it could create a cosmic sea with water that might possess any characteristic: Heavy Water, Pure Water, Corrosive Water, Life Water Droplet, Water of Decomposition, etc...
Wizards view common elemental chaos as an opportunity for resource harvesting, and therefore don't resist it at all; on the contrary, they promote conventional witchcraft.
Hoping for more chaos to emerge.
Only time anomalies are a serious concern, because if mishandled, they could affect the entire flow of time in the Wizard Universe.
Using the Power of Time to change history is akin to a kind of quantum entanglement; when you intentionally try to alter the past, you end up negating the desired outcome.
Unintentionally changing the past, however, might just succeed.
