Spanning the entire North American Continent in between.

If nothing unexpected happened, then this floppy disk could cross the continent in as little as 12 hours and arrive at The White House.

But if there was an unexpected event...

That would be hard to say.

And whether there was an unexpected event or not, Lincoln couldn't say for sure, because the floppy disk was such an outdated medium. He had come up with the idea to send it on a whim without taking any special precautions, and naturally, he couldn't track it.
