Inside one of the meeting rooms in a building belonging to the Ministry of the Exterior, a presentation was underway, with a few individuals attentively listening to the speaker.
"Taking into account all the reasons stated above, I propose the creation of a space station to serve as a trade hub due to the restricted and limited access to Earth for outsiders," the presenter concluded before pausing, allowing the attendees to ask questions as she finished her presentation.
“Why not use any of the moons in the solar system or one of the currently unoccupied planets?” asked an attendee who had been diligently taking notes throughout the meeting.
The presenter nodded, prepared for the question. “Aside from Earth, which is now closed to outsiders under imperial order, the other planets are either allocated for military use or are too close to the sun, making it prohibitively expensive to terraform and shield them from radiation.
