“Did you find it?” Logan asks Tom before we even get to his car.
We meet on the side of the highway several miles outside of the town. Two other cars are parked next to Logan’s, each of them packed to the gills with people.
Tom nods and hands Logan the cloth bag with the charm inside.
“Good,” Logan says and gives the bag back to Tom.
“I’ve just got word from the scouting party. Two packs are heading to the compound to set up base. They were informed of our plans, but only with the necessary information. I couldn’t risk anything else leaking. We still don’t know who’s been giving information to Nathan and his pack.
“For now, it’s up to us to save Anyra, Jenna, and Ava. We need this to be clean and quick.”
I frown. “Won’t we need more people if we’re going to fight?”
Logan shakes his head. “This isn’t the final fight.”
“How could you know that? My father has kidnapped your wife and child, and you’re saying you DON’T want to end this now while we can?” I tell him.
