[??? POV, earlier]
'Urgh, I'm so hungry' I said to myself as I slowly wake up from a long nap. That anime convention really made me starving.
I sluggishly open my eyes and surprisingly, I am no longer in my bedroom. I then survey my surroundings and observed that my current location is an alleyway of an unknown location.
'Where am I?' I pondered while getting myself back on my feet.
After that, I dusted myself and realized that I am still wearing my cosplay outfit.
"Huh, I must have forgotten to remove these before I slept. Also, why does it looks unusually oversized"
While I was confused about my attire, I decided to take of my headgear first, so I can fix my hair. However, when I tried to do it, I felt something was wrong.
"Eh, why won't they come off? Also, where are my real ears?!" I confusedly asked myself as I patted my head.
I then realized that I couldn't remove my dog ears and black wig cosmetics, as if they were permanently fused into my head. Not only that, I can also feel a tail wagging on my rear, which is oddly realistic.
"Hold on, something is not right here" I anxiously said as I quickly search around and find the nearest reflective surface that I could use to see myself.
Once I found one, I gazed upon my reflection and was utterly shocked to see my appearance.
"Wait, what?! I have become a kid again?!"
------------------------------------
After the realization that I have turned into younger version of Saga from Arknights, I tuck some of the baggy flops of my clothes, so it is easier to walk around. I then proceed to traverse the alleyway of this unfamiliar location and search any salvation I could find.
As far I am concerned, this place doesn't look like Japan and it has some medieval England vibes from the looks of it. The pavements and buildings were well-built yet it less modern than the alleyway I used to see in Japan.
*growl*
'God dammit, I'm really starving' I said to myself as I clutch to my noisy stomach.
I remembered that I haven't eaten anything ever since I returned from the anime cosplay convention and it was terrible mistake to take a short nap right after.
Now that I got transported into a different location, I regretted not grabbing a snack from the fridge before dozing off.
'This really sucks, I want to eat something so bad' I complain to myself as I continue walking through the empty alleyway.
Eventually, I can feel my legs starting to give in and my stomach grumbles even more as times goes by. My vision is also getting blurry for every turn I take at the alleyway.
I kept walking until I end up in an intersection where I can see the main road on my right. Across that road is a decent looking inn, which is a perfect place to beg some food.
------------------------------------
*tap* *tap* *tap*
While I was looking at the inn, I heard tapping sounds behind me. I look back to check what it is and was surprised to see a massive horse right in front me.
*Unknown language gibberish*
I then heard someone on the horse was speaking in a different language which I couldn't understand. I end up not reacting in time and the horse ran me over, breaking several of my bones.
*crack* *crack*
"Arrgh! My legs! It hurts!" I screamed painfully as the horse stomps on my fragile legs.
The person who's riding the horse don't stop to help me up and just left me on the ground with broken bones.
I winced in pain as I couldn't move my body due to my injuries. Not to mention that I am also extremely hungry, which made the matter worse.
*tap* *tap* *tap*
Once again, I heard something coming towards my direction but this time, it was sound of a person's footsteps.
They stopped walking right in front of me and I felt their hand were touching my back. After that, I heard them chanting something and a refreshing sensation can be felt throughout my body.
'What the heck is happening?' I thought to myself as I feel my bones were fixing itself.
After that bizarre process was over, I was able to move my limbs again and my injuries disappear all a sudden. I was so baffled by the result that I questioned if this is reality.
*Unknown language gibberish*
I then heard the person's voice again and it sounds like they're calling out to me. I slowly raise my head to see who was calling me and saw a boy with brown hair and green eyes.
He is currently looking at me with a worried expression on his face, probably because he is concerned of my condition right now. This could be also a good opportunity to beg food from him since I am in the verge of starvation.
"I am hungry...." I faintly said to the boy and he looks surprised by what I said.

[Rudeus POV]
This is quite unexpected. I just saved another beast girl and she suddenly talks in Japanese, telling me that she is hungry.
If I had a copper coin for every time I saved a Japanese beast girl, I would have two copper coins. Which is not quite a lot, but it is weird that it happens twice.
*growl*
The beast girl's stomach then growls loudly causing her to blush heavily. Poor girl, I guess she hasn't eaten anything since she came in this place. Should I feed her first?
However, I have another agenda to do and it is to find the horse rider with the kidnapped child. If I feed this girl right now, I might lose track of the kidnapper.
I ponder on what should I do and made a dire decision. I look at the beast girl and talked to her in Japanese.
"Wait here, I'll be back"
"Huh? Wait, don't leave me here"
I quickly run back to the inn and head towards the bar area to buy some few breads. I paid for the food and went back to the alleyway where the black-haired beast girl is waiting for me.
"Here, I brought you some food" I said while handing her the bread. Her eyes sparkles when she saw the bread and she quickly snatch it from my hand.
"Nom, nom, nom"
The beast girl instantly devours the bread and she begs for another one. I complied and gave her another bread.
"What's your name?" I asked, wanting to know her identity.
The girl stops eating and swallowed her food. Then she looks at me and said:
"Saga, that is my name"
I nodded understandingly to her answer and decided to ask her assistance.
"Hey Saga, will you help me find the horse that ran you over?"
"Yes, let's do it" Saga approves.
After that conversation, both of us pursued the horse rider and save the kidnapped child.
