James and Alonzo were easily overrun in seconds, the both of them swinging with their fists and a briefcase to try and fight the other hunters back.
Stanley only laughed. “Oh, how cute, they think they’ll win,” he chortled before looking at one of the men. “I’ll be returning to London, be sure Edwin receives a similarly warm welcome.”
And with that, he left.
James growled as he was tackled to the ground.
“You won’t lay a hand on him!” he shouted as he kicked one of the men off of him before throwing open his case and grabbing a dagger. He quickly turned and slashed one of the men in the arm, making him cry out in pain and stagger back.
Alonzo hissed at the other hunters, swiping at them with his claws as he dodged silver and holy water. “James! You need to get to Edwin now!”
James growled and winced as someone else’s knife made contact with his arm and he stabbed another in the chest. “I’m trying! There are too many!”
