Road Trip

Well, just like before, we all began hanging out a lot more as soon as we made our rafting plan. We've eaten together at lunch more often, go out to karaoke, and hung out at the café. Miyuki's, the same as she's always been, full of energy, making everyone laugh. Although, one thing that hasn't changed are the constant arguments that Yoshito and Eri have.

Hopefully that's something I could possibly change.

But now that we've been hanging out a lot, I've started to feel a bit attracted towards Miyuki, just as I've been afraid of. Sometimes I love her so much that it hurts to breathe, being reminded of the good times we've had, all of our happy moments together, everything about her is amazing, the fun energy she brings to hangouts, her beautiful smile, her laugh. I have to let these feelings go, i'm only making this a lot more difficult for myself, but it's easier said than done. Please help me out here, Yoshito.

It is now a clear sunny day and we've been preparing for our rafting trip, especially now that the hot days have arrived.

"This is going to be so much fun! Oh! We should take a guess of who's going to fall off the boat first, I'll have to bet on it being Yoshito." Miyuki excitedly exclaimed, almost jumping.

"Why me.." Yoshito looked hurt.

"Try not to injure yourself with all of your enthusiasm." Eri put her hand on Miyuki's shoulder.

"Let me be! You're the one that should be careful, overestimating what you're capable of sure is a big risk." Miyuki smiled smugly.

"A lot better than not being cautious and underestimating things you're not so sure you could do." Eri patted Miyuki on the head.

It's nice seeing Eri in a good mood, knowing she was hesitant about coming along. She's not too fond of wearing skirts and such so she decided to wear trunks.

That bastard Yoshito looks sleepy so I'll have to drive the minivan.

"Yasuhito.. sorry but do you think that you could drive." Yoshito sheepishly asked.

"Yeah, of course."

"You should sit in the back if you want to sleep by the way, I need someone in the passenger seat that could help with the directions."

"Wait? Don't you have a GPS in there?"

"I'm not good at multitasking." I shamefully looked at the ground.

"That's a lie, anyways I'll be waiting for you guys in the car." Yoshito said as he walked towards the van.

Okay good, now I need Miyuki to want to sit in the back as well.

"I volunteer to be your navigator!" Miyuki raised her hand as if she wanted to announce something.

"Do you know how to use a GPS?" I asked, curiously.

"Nope!" She smiled.

"Are you good at reading maps?"

Absolutely not!"

Any good sense of directions?"

"Of course not! I'm not proud of it or anything, but if I never had Eri around, I would always be lost." She said with lots of pride.

"Eri could you help me out with the directions?" I turned to her.

"Yeah sure, can't let this one get control over the gps." She gestured towards Miyuki.

After driving for about half an hour, Yoshito and Miyuki have gone to sleep and Eri's been quite scary with the guidance.

"Eri, is my driving really that unbearable? Having you stare at me constantly makes me nervous if I'm being honest." I nervously chuckled.

"Huh?!" Eri made a silly sound, waking up both Miyuki and Yoshito.

"Ah…ah…" Eri now blushing very noticeably.

"What happened?" Yoshito leaned towards the front seats.

"It's because you don't like keeping your eyes forward when you're driving!!" Eri's anger exploded.

"You're a very dangerous driver so I'm stuck in the position of managing your driving for you!!"

"And what do you mean, me looking at you makes you nervous?! There's limited consciousness, you know!"

"Okay! I'm sorry, Eri, you're right, I wasn't focusing directly, I'll be more cautious from now on." I apologized profusely.

"Mmph!" Eri looked away, still blushing.

"I just told you to look ahead when you're driving, don't look at me." She spoke up as she's looking out the window.

"Right, sorry about that.

"Well, that was fun!" Miyuki suddenly spoke up.

"Anyways, are we almost there yet?" Yoshito asked as he's still leaning towards the front seats.

"Yes, now sit back down properly." I pushed him back with one hand.

After an hour of driving, we finally make it to BigSmile rafting.

"I can't wait!" Miyuki shouted with excitement as we got out of the van.

"Yoshito let's go, Eri and Yasuhito could handle the luggage." Miyuki grabbed Yoshito's arm and ran.

"Sorry guys! Good luck!" Yoshito yelled as he was leaving.

"Those jerks." Eri appeared a bit annoyed.

"Hey, Eri, I'm sorry about earlier, when I said that you staring at me made me uncomfortable."

"Huh? Oh, it's fine. I also apologize for the way I reacted, it was completely unnecessary and exaggerated."

"I guess we both need to control ourselves huh." I snickered.

"Yeah, I guess we do." She snickered back.

"Well, let's go rafting!" I punched my fist in the air.

Let's see how this goes.
