[The Match Will Begin in 3 Seconds]

As soon as the match started, Rosaline ran full speed towards Rayford, while Lapiz moved towards Laila.

Rushing forward, Lapiz carefully observes the silver-haired girl standing in the distance.

Focusing her mana, she summoned a magic circle with deep blue color

[Spirit Summon: ]

In the palm of her hand, dense water mana began to gather. The concentrated mana began to take the form of a small fairy with a subtle glow.

Seeing the scene, Laila made a surprised expression on her face.

'Is that Undine?' (Laila)

Seeing that Undine was summoned, Laila recalled the information in her memories.

In the game, Undine was a Great Spirit belonging to the water attribute which was the strongest among water spirits and is one of the four great spirits.

I fought her in the game before when I was doing a quest with Rayford and his guild member. The quest's mission was freeing the corrupted Undine and the other great spirits, and to free her, we need to purify them with holy magic.

She was insanely strong...

One of her attacks could flood an entire country and wipe out hundreds of thousands of soldiers.

But Undine right now is a lot smaller, if before she was the size of a building right now she is the size of my hand.

"Undine! Assist my magic!" (Lapiz)

"Roger that little Lapiz" (Undine)

Similar to how rain stopped mid-air, small water particles began to form and float around her.

She pointed her rapier which is coated in water magic toward me.

[Basic Magic: ]

The floating balls of water that were strengthened by Undine's ability were shot toward me at high speed.

As her magic approached, I calmly unsheathed my katana and start blocking her attacks.

Tiny snowflakes formed around her as she moved her katana gracefully as if dancing.

In an instant, all of her magic attacks were frozen and scattered into dust. The figure of the silver-haired girl standing gracefully gave her a sense of awe.

"Are just going to stare at me? Come and attack" (Laila)

At her word, Lapiz quickly focuses her mind and rushed towards her.

With high speed, she brandished her rapier which was perfectly blocked by Laila's katana.

-Clack!

-Clack!

The sound of iron clashing resounded, every now and then Lapiz also shot out her magic with the help of Undine but in the end, they all froze before scattering to dust.

With every sword attack getting blocked and every magic frozen, Undine's eyes began to narrow. The magic felt from Laila's mana fell strangely familiar.

As she searches her memories, Lapiz loudly shouted.

"Undine! I'm going to use 'that' technique!" (Lapiz)

"What?" (Undine)

Without wasting time, Lapiz cast the most powerful spell she could use, to be exact she pour all of her mana into Undine and told her to cast the strongest magic she has.

[Ultimate Spirit Magic: ]

Concentrating all of her mana in the palm of her hand, she began to focus solely on casting Undine's ultimate skill which caused her to miss Rosaline's elimination notification and failed to detect Rayford observing her.

As she finishes her magic, a giant ball of water containing all of her mana further enhanced by Undine rushes forward.

Undine's Ultimate magic consists of making a giant mass of concentrated pure water energy and then releasing it all at once, it was a simple yet powerful magic capable of destroying an entire Empire and flooding a part of the continent.

Naturally, the magic that Lapiz cast wasn't even a fraction of what Undine is capable of. The magic right now didn't even get close to 1% of the original but still, the size is comparable to advance magic.

As the mass of water energy approaches Laila, her silver-colored hair starts to emit a subtle light blue glow.

Suddenly the temperature sharply decreased. Pure cold energy densely gathers on the tip of her finger.

Utilizing her trait she cast her magic

[Original Magic: ]

Lightly touching the mass of water, a bone-chilling cold was emitted. Just like before, the mass of water instantly froze and scattered beautifully.

Seeing Undine's magic blocked the magic easily, she stared in amazement and awe.

The figure of Laila who exudes a soft but strong aura gave off the mystical feeling of a goddess in a fairy tale.

Smiling gently, Laila opened her mouth.

"The mana testing event is about to begin, how about we finish our fun here?" (Laila)

"Eh? Ah... right" (Lapiz)

[Player Lapiz has Surrendered]

[Team Rayford and Laila Win!]

Walking towards the mana testing hall, Lapiz and Rosaline talked about the sparing match from before.

"She was able to block Undine's attack!?" (Rosaline)

Hearing Lapiz's story, she couldn't help but doubt her ears.

Undine's magic although weaken wasn't something you could just stop by only freezing it, even Rosaline couldn't stop it no matter how hard she tried.

"But how did you cast that thing anyway? It takes like 2 minutes to complete" (Rosaline)

"She let Undine cast her spell, if she were to fight seriously I would have died instantly before even doing anything" (Lapiz)

While fighting Laila, she felt the immeasurable gap between them.

Remembering her figure exuding a gentle and cool aura, she squeals loudly similar to how when fans shake the hand of their idols.

"She just became my idol!!." (Lapiz)

"Sigh..." (Rosaline)

"Speaking of the spar, what happened to your fight?" (Lapiz)

"I don't know..." (Rosaline)

"Huh? what do you mean don't know?" (Lapiz)

"I don't know what happened! The Prince only stood there without moving but every time came close to him I was suddenly flung backward, and every magic I cast disappeared before reaching him" (Rosaline)

"Did you see what the Prince did?" (Lapiz)

"I already said that I didn't know! I didn't even see him move his mana, the only moment I saw him move was when I was eliminated" (Rosaline)

Rayford actually did use some of his mana, the reason Rosaline failed to notice is that his mana was coated with [Void Aura] which erases the presence of existence, this was also the reason why the clicking noise wasn't heard.

"What did he do?" (Lapiz)

"He just suddenly appeared behind me after that I was cut in half, I didn't even see him swing his katana" (Rosaline)

"After this, we should review the recording..." (Lapiz)

"Yeah..." (Rosaline)

While the children were talking, Undine remembered what happened in the virtual world. At that moment she saw it...

A being that is capable of holding mana in its purest form.

A/N: Hey this is the author here... I'm here to explain that I will try to regularly upload at least 1~3 chapters a week, I will also try to improve the writing quality as the story progresses.

I also want to ask you to leave a comment on what needed to be improved, or just write what you feel about the story.

Like I said in my previous novel which is now dropped, the story progression will be greatly different from the previous work but will have the same settings and characters.

I also altered some of the worldviews to make them more consistent and easy to understand.

So this novel is basically a rework of my previous novel with the same name "Arcana: Sword and Magic" but told differently.
