"You’re not dying," Muchen said, looking way too smug for someone who just saved his life. "Not today. Not anytime soon."

Yunfeng barely got his breath back before Muchen dropped the biggest bomb ever.

"Because we’re having a baby."

Wait. What?!

Yunfeng clutched his stomach. "H-How do you know?!"

"You KNEW?!" Muchen shook him like a damn rattle. "And you still ran? Take responsibility, you bastard! We made a life!"

Well. Shit. There was officially no running from this.

The car bumped over the rough road, making Yunfeng tighten his grip on the phone. The screen showed they had about seven hours to reach A City, but with all the detours, who knew how long it would really take?

He chewed on his lip, his mind racing. 'hana would be okay till then right..' she might look like a brave irls but she would cry and whien at any small inconveniance. he was pretty sure his sister would stay safe inside until he comes for her. That was certain.

He gazed at the pohone isnetnly. Suddenly, a small memmory came to him.

His history tecaher said something about an emp attack.

Jian noticed right away. "What's wrong? Did someone call? Why do you look like that?" He shot Yunfeng a worried glance.

Yunfeng swallowed hard. "I just remembered… After the first virus outbreak, the next disaster is an EMP attack."
