Fifth building...or was it fourth...? Did that mean I should count the assignment center as well or was the I supposed to count it out. I don't think I can even remember what my room number is. If I go back Sr Drevin will think I know nothing and if I don't I'll end up getting lost and embarrassing myself. What was the dorm called again? Sky rooms? Ahhh forget it! I'll count the assignment center as well. The buildings all look the same so how will I differentiate them? They had signs for the administration and assignment centre but not on the dorms?!
I could ask someone but they all had hostile expressions on their faces. Where did Maria go?! I looked around to see if anyone was lost like I was but nope! Everyone seemed to know where to go. 56_..../16 that's all I can remember. What was the middle number?
"Lost?" I heard a small voice say behind me.
I turned to look at who spoke and a girl a little shorter than me was staring at me calmly. She was cute and her dress was quite nice on her. She had shiny black hair that cascaded to her waist but she wasn't wearing a bow like Maria instead she had white pins on either side of her face to keep her hair in place.
"Ahhh...yes. Could you kindly show me to the sky rooms."
"Room number?"
"I don't know. I can't remember."
"Are you an idiot or something?"
How rude! Suddenly I don't find her cute anymore. She walked closer to me and slowly swept her eyes over me like she was measuring me. She smiled at the end of her examination of me and looked down at my suitcase.
"Is it 56_20/16?" she asked.
"Yeah!" I responded realizing that was the number.
"Let me help you with that." she said taking my suitcase from me.
"I can carry it on my own."
"We've had lots of reports of girls tumbling down the stairs because of heavy luggage. Wouldn't want to have you in the clinic on the first day."
I smiled at her and she rolled her eyes at me. What did I do wrong?! To me she seemed like a pretty nice girl who was just rude in her speech but meant it in a nice way. Or she could be a phyco. She started walking and I followed her while looking around holding my back pack firmly. If anyone was at risk os falling from the stairs it was probably her, though.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Olive Rogers."
"Nice to meet you Olivia."
"No. Not Olivia. Just Olive."
"Like an olive garden?"
"Yeah."
She fell silent and then stopped in front of the fourth building from the assignment center. Counting it as well.
"It's a terrible name. Were your parents drunk when they named you?"
"What?!"
"Just joking."
Even though she claimed to be joking her tone said otherwise not to mention she wasn't even smiling. She turned to look at me calmly before starting to walk inside.
"You have a twin, don't you?" she asked.
"Yeah." I answered.
"I guess she got the better name." She said.
I realized that she thought I had a twin sister. I laughed at this and she turned to look at me like I was crazy.
"It's not a girl. I have a brother." I said.
"Mhhm. I guess his name is Oliver."
"What's your name?" I asked realizing I didn't know her name.
She remained quiet and continued walking like she didn't hear my question. I didn't ask again either. On our way I noticed how everyone was looking at her with utmost respect and when they looked at me they glared. She opened the door to my room and pushed my suitcase in. I thanked her and she left. As I was unpacking my things I heard a low tap on my door and went to open it. It was the same girl but she was putting my name on the door.
"My name is Elise Davison." she said in a whisper.
"That's nice. It's lovely to meet you."
"Let me help you wear the dress. It gets tricky because it has many layers."
"Sure."
I let her in the room that was practically empty and the only thing that I had added to the room was my messed up luggage and a photo of Oliver and I at a playground. Her eyes fell on the photo and I can tell she isn't looking at me but at Oliver. She picked up the framed photo and stared at it for a few more seconds before putting it back in it's original place. I gave her the dress and let her straighten it out for me while I undressed. I put on one of the breast holders and a clean short to to avoid my buttocks from moving about aimlessly. If Sr Drevin had a problem with my breasts then I had to make sure my behind was kept in check.
I stood half naked waiting for her to straighten the dress and when she was done she looked at me and helped me put on the dress. Unlike most of the girls I had seen here I had short shoulder length hair. It wasn't as curly as Oliver's hair but it was the same color. Elise combed my hair and and gave me a golden pin. She told me to smile and when I did she put the pin on the opposite side of my dimple.
"There. Ten minutes to the orientation." Elise said.
"Where am I supposed to go?" I asked.
"I'll take you there. With how you forget I'm sure you'll end up wondering into the forest."
Elise and I walked out of the room and I felt unsure about how I looked because I hadn't checked myself out in a mirror as there were none. We walked into the building I thought was the administration block and to my surprise it looked like a ballroom. It had some chairs neatly placed in rows with an isle in the center. At the front were five exquisite looking chairs and there was a long table in front of them. Elise had been standing beside me the whole time but when I turned to look at her she was gone. I looked for Oliver and spotted him chatting with a short boy who he was sitting next to. I don't think I can sit there though because even here the sexes weren't mixing. I took a seat at the back but soon a prefect came to move me and took me to the front. Oliver saw me and waved at me and I smiled back.
"Is he your boyfriend?" the girl sitting next to me on my right asked with sad eyes.
I glanced at Oliver who was looking at me like he wanted to tell me something then I looked at the girl who was waiting for my answer. Even though we were twins most people couldn't tell because we were fraternal twins and the difference in our height made it worse.
"No. He's my brother."
Her face lit up and was adorned by a beautiful smile. She nodded excitedly and I could tell she wasn't the only one who was relieved by the fact that I wasn't dating Oliver.
"He's cute." the girl on my left said as she looked at Oliver,"Would you mind introducing me to him?"
"Just talk to him. He's not closed up." I said knowing how much Oliver wanted to have a high school affair.
"Really?" they both asked.
The girl in front of me turned around to also listen to what I was going to say.
"Yeah." I said.
"Still. I want you to introduce me." the girl on my left said pleadingly.
"Quiet!" I heard Maria shout making everyone keep quiet,"Stay this way until the teachers come in. If you make noise then I'll have to punish you all."
Marcus appeared at the door and called Maria out with him. Some people started whispering to each other and I heard a girl say Marcus was hot and I internally agreed with her. I wonder if Marcus and Maria are dating? St Drevin walked in accompanied by a beautiful late thirty-ish woman in a suit. Sr Drevin was wearing a gray shirt and a black loose fitting skirt and I noticed she had a pendent around her neck instead of the signature Rosary most nuns wore. I wonder just how many guys' hearts she broke when she decided to become a nun.
"Good morning!" Sr Drevin greeted the assembly of eighth graders.
"Good morning Sr Drevin!" Came the chorus response.
"I hope you have all settled in your rooms and are ready to commence with your studies! As you all know today you will be having your orientation and I hope you will cooperate with us! This lady here is Ms Stevenson, the head mistress of our academy!"
"Good morning Ms Stevenson!" the students greeted while I remained quiet because I didn't know we were going to greet the woman.
Holy cow! She looked at me! Did she notice that I hadn't said the greetings with the rest of the students? Sr Drevin glared at me and it made Ms Stevenson also turn to look at me and soon everyone was looking at me. Sr Drevin was going to say something when Elise walked into the room with a serious expression on her face.
"And this is Elise Davison, the punisher of our academy!" Sr Drevin announced in a loud voice to receive another chorus greeting directed to Elise.
