Chapter 27 - Hua's Life

After dinner was completed, Sheng steeped some green tea for everyone to drink along with desserts. He bought two types of mooncakes, red bean, and lotus paste filling. They both happened to be Hua and Jian's favorites. He was glad he bought 10.

"Thank you, Brother Sheng. Is it okay to eat the mooncake? You bought them for Hwang Jian right?"

Jian shook his head, "I eat them often, and plus sharing is caring."

Sheng rolled his eyes at Jian's "I'm so caring" expression.

"Hua, I once saw him eat 15 mooncakes in one sitting."

"They were made meticulously by a grandmaster chef. How could I resist?"

"Little Hua, from now on, I'm going to be your supplier of mooncakes. Any time you want to eat them, I'll buy them for you."

Hua nodded, "Thank you, brother." Taking a bite of the mooncake, the sweetness and fragrance of the red bean flooded Hua's mouth. She unconsciously wiggled her toes to express her delight. Jian noticed, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
