First Encounter

Alexander dashed forward. He only saw the source of the scream after running a few kilometres. It was a blood battlefield; it seemed like it was a caravan of what seemed like merchants. There were dead people clad in armour around the caravan mixed with people with another type of armour, particularly those of leather.

To the horror of Alexander, he finally saw the source of the scream. A woman was lying down on the carriage's side without its undergarments. Fully exposed to the brim, the woman had an ashen look on her face with a slit in her neck. Signifying that after taking pleasure with her, they went and killed her off.

The surroundings of the caravan were a mess. It was filled with blood, chaos, death and it reeks of rotting corpses that were decomposing. This baffled Alexander, as he was sure that the sound he had heard was just recent. He wanted to prove his point and so he went towards the corpses and touched them.

He was right; the corpses were still warm, so where could the rotting smell come from?

After observing more of the surroundings of the caravan, he found that there was something peculiar about it. There were some of what seemed like the enemy of the caravan to be, in fact, rotting already. Unable to hold back his curiosity, he moved closer to one of the rotting corpse. Its arms legs were cut off.

However, when Alexander walked closer to the rotting corpse, the rotting corpse immediately grabbed his leg. The rotting corpse faced him with its head upwards. This momentarily shocked Alexander, however, he immediately brought out his revolver and fired at the rotting corpse.

The shot hit the backside of the rotting corpse, to which the rotting corpse responded with a growl. When Alexander saw that the rotting corpse was unaffected by it, he tried shooting the head. He aimed and pulled the trigger, to which another loud bang resounded throughout the forest.

This time, the rotting corpse stopped moving completely. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only rotting corpses. After shooting twice, dozens of rotting corpses moved in response, even those of that were disabled. Alexander realized that in his current position, he was at a certain disadvantage. So he dashed outside of the perimeter of the caravan while continuously firing at the rotting corpses, this time at the head.

It was a success; he was able to give some distance before the rotting corpses while shooting back. The rotting corpses weren't able to do a single thing except to walk and crawl. After a few moments, the battle was already finished with Alexander killing off all the rotting corpses. This time they'll stay dead.

After the battle, Alexander breathes a sigh of relief. However, things didn't end there, as he heard an angry shout in the caravan's direction.

"Who killed my slaves? Also, what the hell are those loud explosions I've been hearing of?"

Alexander instinctively went into hiding. He was now eavesdropping on the people that came back on the caravan.

"To whoever killed my slaves, I'll tell you! Necromancy is fucking hard! Peasants! I see a line of body towards that direction of the forest! The killer might still be there. Find them!"

"Yes, my lord!" The peasants said in unison.

While Alexander was peeking behind a log, he saw rotten corpses filled his surroundings. So he's going to be likely to be found out. Furthermore, it seemed like these were the guys that killed the people in the caravan.

The only thing that he needs is confirmation. He didn't want to kill innocent people.

"Hahaha, that girl back there, she was a fun one. I enjoyed her to the fullest." A man said.

Upon hearing the confirmation that he wanted. Alexander immediately stood up and aimed his revolver and pulled the trigger continuously. Within a few seconds, eight men lay dead before him. The others took notice of this loud bang and immediately came rushing towards the source of the sound.

Alexander quickly pushed out the chambers and inserted another eight rounds, to which after he continued firing. Men were dropping like flies as he kept on firing his revolver.

"So it was you who killed my precious slaves?" A man said.

Alexander looked at the source of the voice and found that a man of long stature was standing a few metres before him. The man began chanting something. Sensing danger, Alexander immediately shot the man on the sides.

"W-What the!"

The man was frantically speaking.

"M-Mana Shield!"

Suddenly, a light enveloped the surroundings of the man.

"Hah! Let's see if you can break this!"

Alexander paid no attention to the bragging of the man and immediately fired once again, this time at the chest of the man.

When the bullet landed on the light enveloping the man, the light suddenly broke with a crystal clear sound of cracking and breaking.

"T-This can't be!" the man said.

"D-Don't kill me! I can give you women! Money! If you kill me, my father will hunt you!" the man said.

"Let's see about that!" Alexander said

"N-No please no!" the man said

Alexander then aimed at the head of the man and pulled the trigger to which a crimson flower blossomed behind the man and spread over the surroundings, followed by a resounding boom that echoed throughout the surroundings.

The man now layed then on the ground along with his lackeys.

Alexander now finally had the time to look through his notifications.

[Ding!]

[Killed a Zombie]

[Granting 1 Experience]

[Killed a Bandit]

[Granting 3 Experience]

[Killed a Noble(Baron Rank)]

[Granting 10 Experience]

Alexander found out that the man he killed was a noble, so he realized that he's going to likely face trouble. However, he didn't care; he was the leader of an evil organization. Furthermore, that noble is corrupt to the core, so he was completely justified.

Alexander decided that if this world is corrupt than he had previously thought, then he will cleanse it no matter what options he uses. He will define evil himself through his own sense of justice.

Upon reading the notification, Alexander found out that he had killed a total of fourteen zombies, fifteen bandits and one noble of a baron rank earning him a total of sixty-nine points, effectively leveling him up.

[Ding!]

[Level Up!]

Alexander smirked. He immediately went and upgraded his mana, with an additional two points again.
