Twenty There: Going home

After Marina had several wonderful days together with her brothers and her best friend Dayane and of course together with Jura too. But she had to go home, as her classes would return next week and she would also need to spend time with her foster parents.

Their last night in Sete Lagoas was a lot of fun. They went to a concert of Banda Camila, a Spanish band that was providing a Charity Event for People in Need and with Cancer. They were being sponsored by several famous brands and received a great amount of money to help this cause.

With that the place was completely packed and Marina was not going to miss this show, because besides being free it was one of her favorite bands.

She had a different musical taste of songs since she was little and her dream was always to go to their show.

The stage was all improvised in the middle of the street, putting lights around, and at the opening of the show, they sang her favorite song: Solo Para ti.

At that moment she could only think about Jura, how she wanted him to be there by her side, but she remembered that in a few days he would be close to her, because he went to work near her house.

The instrumentalists were getting ready to sing and she was clapping and shouting along with the crowd, moving her hands from side to side, too excited and when he started to sing, they all went singing in chorus:

Eres todo lo que pedía

What my soul wanted

I wanted to feel.

You're all I hoped for

What in my dreams I sought

And in you I discovered...

Everyone applauded and the band continued with the songs. The concert ended at almost two in the morning and she went home very happy.

She lay down on her bed, after having a nice shower, and wished goodnight to her brother who gave her a big hug.

Her sisters had already gone back to the orphanage, but soon they would leave there, because they would turn eighteen and her brother Thiago would bring them to live with him.

Marina lay in bed and thought about everything that had happened to her throughout her life and that she felt grateful for the wonderful things that had happened to her. She prayed in thought thanking God for everything he has done in her life and fell asleep minutes later.

When she woke up, she looked at her cell phone and it was five in the morning. She thought about going back to sleep, but remembered that she would be leaving today and got up from her cozy bed.

He took a cold shower to wake up from sleep, chose a cold outfit: black leather jacket, dark jeans, boots and a white beret.

She left her hair loose which is very straight and already huge and then opted to do a built-in braid.

After being ready, she went down to the kitchen where her brother was already having his breakfast.

He was as sleepy as she was, but he didn't seem to mind, because it was very worthwhile for them to go to the show.

She ate a roll with cheese and had a glass of cold Nescau and after that, her brother helped her in the kitchen, tidying up and picked up her bags going to the car.

She was going to take the bus, although she was afraid that something would happen during the journey, but she said a short prayer asking God to keep her and protect her during the trip.

After about twenty minutes, they arrived at the bus station. She went through the counter, getting her ticket and Thiago took her to where the bus was positioned.

They said goodbye and she got on the bus sitting in seat four, put on her headphones and put on the random mode that started playing a song by singer Ana Nóbrega-Oceanos.

She listened to the music and slept all the way and only woke up when the driver opened the bus door announcing that they were in Olaria.

Marina took a regular bus to get to the street of her house and after the vehicle stopped at her final destination, she got off the bus and opened the door of her house.

When she arrived at the house, her adoptive parents were waiting for her and gave her a big hug.

She realized that there was something different going on, but she preferred to ask later.

When they got home, Sandra said:

-Honey, I have to tell you some news-she put her hand on her belly and said-I'm going to have a baby.

Marina was speechless. She was happy for them, but afraid that it might change her life completely, but of course she was right about that.

After her adoptive mother found out about the pregnancy, she started to be more strict with Marina, forbidding her to go out after school or at night and saying that her priority was this baby, because it is what she always wanted.

Luckily for her, she had a couple of free times in the afternoon and she used this time to see her beloved Jura at work.

The two became very close and started dating. Lucas was with his wife and child, but he couldn't take his eyes off Marina, feeling jealous, but she didn't even pay attention to him and only talked when she was forced to do some work with him.

At home things were not being very good, as now Sandra was pregnant and began to demand more from Marina who already arrived tired from school, internship, forcing her to do homework. She thought about telling her brother about it, but if she did she would have to stay away from her beloved and she didn't want that at all.
