"Damn, that's so refreshing," Luna laughed.
"So who are they?" Alec asked.
"My ex and his new girlfriend who used to be my friend," she sighed, "honestly, I don't understand how easy we bumped into the people we don't want to see," she took off her shoes and laid on the huge couch. "Tell me the truth: are you someone from the future? A regressor? Are you here about this Vape? Or because you wanna build your own laptop?"
He laughed and put both his hands on her shoulder, "since when?"
"SimLim, the way you look at this vape, your choice of phone and some gestures you make like when you understand what I mean when I accidentally made a slip on phone topic," she smiled. "So which ones are you?"
"You're right," he smiled back at her. "Your guess is as good as mine…2019? Did you die in 2019?"
She parted her lips and closed it again and then she sighed and pushed him away but he's so sturdy. "I don't know, I just fell asleep and woke up in 2005."
He nodded and stepped back for a bit and opened a bottle of XO he bought from duty-free, grabbed two glasses and poured one and gave it to her and poured another one for himself. He took a big gulp and sighed. "Here's my theory, I died in 2022 at 10.20pm and I woke up at 10.20 pm. I never really took a nap at this time so they just picked the time when I was able to wake up at that time."
"Wait, so you mean to say that you died at 10.20pm?"
He nodded.
"So that means I died at 7.10am… in my sleep?"
"I got shot, so I presume you died of unnatural causes?"
"Nope, I just fell asleep with COVID symptom," she took a sip of the XO and sighed.
"So what were you doing the first time you woke up here?"
"Broke up with that guy was the best thing I've ever done, talking to my dad on the phone again and…" she took a deep breath, "making my own vape and liquid. What about you?"
"You know what your friend has said about you?" he asked.
"I've changed overnight, became too different?" she sighed. "I know that I used to be more… outgoing and cheerful but being in my late 30s and still single with a few fling here and there, and shutting myself completely from the world, meanwhile my friends' got married, had kids, built their own happiness, I couldn't…go back to my old personalities anymore."
"Honestly, I thought you're a guy ever since I heard things about you," he smiled. "But it turns out you're a cute petite woman, and I want to offer you a partnership on Vape."
"But I thought you had your own vape, too?" She was stupefied.
"Not as smooth as yours," he sighed. "So if you want we'll split it fifty-fifty?"
"Give me time to think," she took her vape out and took a puff.
"As much as you want… and I'm not looking for a girlfriend either, just broke up with mine and there's…"
"I know what you mean," she took a sip of the XO. "And I'm not dressing up to entice you either, I dressed up for the weather."
"I know, but you honestly look so sexy that I can't hardly make myself calm," he smiled.
"There's a lot of girls sexier than I am," she rolled her eyes.
