Chapter 7: When Are We Resuming? Monday.

"Lucas? Is everything alright?" Haider called over the phone but he couldn't stop smiling, he had a feeling his date had arrived, "I guess I'll call you back later." He ends the call only to smile mischievously at his phone. But at the same time he wished he had someone to himself, someone to call his own.

He looked at his empty but lavishly furnished apartment before he flops to his king sized bed, running his fingers in his dark mane with a mischievous smile; his brother would have a lot of fun tonight.

"Hey." She smiles at him and he smiles back,

"hey." He couldn't believe she was standing in front of him again. Work had been so much she had to travel for months but he understood, he was just happy that she was in front of him again. It felt so surreal.

"Why do you keep staring like that? Aren't you going to welcome me in?" She laughs a little, hiding her blush away from him with the back of her palm.

He comes back to reality and smacks himself in the head,

"How rude of me, come in my queen," he gives a dramatic bow and welcomes her in, she laughs at his playfulness and takes a step into the familiar apartment as he takes her luggage from her, "so what's been up with you? You said an hour and you're two hours late, what should be your punishment?" He acts coy and he closes the door behind them both and runs to drop her luggage in his room.

"I was stuck in traffic, fortunately for us I took a leave so I'm going to be here for a long time. I've had enough of the flashing lights of the camera and now I just want to snuggle into my smarty pants." She grins as he jogged downstairs to bless her with a kiss, "someone missed me?" She drops her arms on his shoulders and they away gently.

"Only by one percent darling." He jokes and they share a light laugh, " I made you dinner....but it's cold and I don't think—"

"I actually haven't had anything yet, I wanted to taste your cooking again...." A short period of silence before he mile brought him back to reality,

"You shouldn't have done that Crystal....but....damn it..." He hated it when she made him run out of words, from the first day he met her she had always been able to make him speechless, he didn't think there was any other that could do that.

She laughs at his innocence and drops her expensive fur coat on his couch before proceeding to the kitchen. They preheat the rump roast and have a midnight dinner with lots of laughter and smiles.

Crystal was a professional model and her job required a lot of traveling, she had left Lucas at home for six months straight without coming home and it was only normal he was acting weird in front of her even though they've known each other for years.

She is of average height and possesses beautiful blonde locks, her orbs are hazel red and she was blessed with a quirky but intelligent personality which had inevitably rubbed off on Lucas. He had become a bit like her and she liked him.

When they first met, he didn't want to talk to her in fact she did everything to get him to just say a word; apparently Haider had set them on a blind date because Lucas was still sore about the betrayal he got from his brother.

But after she made him laugh and they managed to begin a convo, things went smoothly from there. There were hiccups here and there but they were intelligent people and they knew how to solve a conflict when it arose.

Lucas couldn't stop staring at her from the corner of his eye, she was exhausted, the bags had already started forming underneath her eyes but he could also tell that she was very hungry. The look on her face told him that she was deep in thought, and she had also stopped talking much.

"Crystal?" He reaches out for her hand and places his on hers, it brings her back to reality and she curls hers in his fingers, "what's wrong?" His spring orbs held a deep concern that could barely be explained with words.

"It's nothing.....I'm just happy I met you...." She trails off as the tears began to choke her, he smiles a little,

"I'm happy I met you too." He had never expected to say those words but they came out nonetheless. He was happy he met her.

Ava types away on her phone, answering one of the numerous contacts on her phone, everyone wanted a piece of her but she just wanted a piece of Carol's bum as she checked our herself in the mirror,

"You're going to bed Carol, not at a party, do you still need to dress up to sleep?" Ava jokes before throwing a pillow under her head to give her leverage,

"A girl must look good whatever she does." She gives the sassiest reply which just makes Ava shake her head, she was nude to the bone and she liked it that way but unfortunately Carol never saw the need to take a day off and it still hurts her till today.

"We 're sleeping, the only person that is going to see you is me, so do yourself a favor and get your ass in bed." Carol laughs at her sister before jumping in bed beside her,

"When do you think we would be resuming school Ava? I really can't wait to start classes and all," she daydreamed a lot, " Imagine me, a student of psychology and the best student in the whole class .." she gave a loving sigh, " my teacher would be so proud of me." Her eyes watery with emotions, " when are we resuming Ava?" She tugs on her sister for an answer.

"Monday." And a high pitched scream echoes throughout her room.
