The last game started.
Sunzheng chose to remain red so Yuelan was still on the blue side.
Almost immediately, Shadow was the first hero to be banned on Yuelan's side showing how much they hated this hero in the previous match.
Sunzheng first took away Kaze, and Yuelan once again banned Yifan. Sunzheng's next ban was surprisingly a mage that Yuelan's mid laner played in the first game and their last ban of phase 1 was another marksman. Meanwhile, Yuelan's last ban was a jungler, Li.
The final lineup of Yuelan: Dange, Yippee, One, K, and Ilay.
The final lineup of Sunzheng: Blacksmith, Radanh, Chichi, On, and Mary.
This time both lineups were a standard tank top, fighter jungler, scaled mid laner, and aggressive duo down the bot lane.
According to their drafts, game 5 would likely last for quite a while.
Compare to the previous games, the start of game 5 was extremely peaceful. No one was willing to over-extend so the kill count was still 0 @10 minutes.
Yuelan needed to restrain Zizi's development so Missed, Yuelan's mid-laner played particularly safe and froze the wave in front of his turret.
Zizi could not exert dominance as much as before since Yippee often dropped by mid. His champ was a crispy mage so the moment he got caught he would be dead instantly.
As a result, the game was like playing ping pong and both teams even looked like they were taking a turn to get a drake each without having any casualties.
Not until the third drake spawned did a big teamfight break out.
It was supposed to be a 4 vs 4 fight but Yuelan's top laner had his R that could teleport to one of his allies and give a massive shield for 4s before he appeared at that ally's location.
XiaoXi, who has been the focus of Sunzheng since the beginning of the fight was about to die when in the next second he got saved by his top laner and was able to turn the tide around.
Yuelan's top laner, Watch, has been winning lane against Sunzheng's top so he managed to solo kill him at the time the fight broke out down there.
Dange was still healthy so the moment he stepped in Yuelan quickly gained control of the fight and Aced Sunzheng.
Fu Zhen lamented, "This looks like a deja vu from game 1."
Fu Yue did not intervene with his big brother's words. To say that it was a replicate of game 1, he thought differently.
To be honest, Sunzheng's overall strength was better than Yuelan's. However, Yuelan was better at shotcallings that's why they kept winning in most of the teamfights for objectives.
Had Dange stuck in the top lane, the previous fight would be in the favor of Sunzheng. Unfortunately, Dange was able to kill Blacksmith and joined the fight in time.
In a battlefield, everything counted and was unpredictable that's why map awareness was extremely important.
As expected, Sunzheng refused to go down without a fight. Knowing that they lost the drake to the enemy team, they immediately rushed to the Young Saint pit upon respawn.
Yuelan was resetting after getting the drake so Sunzheng successfully made this exchange.
They dropped the Young Saint in the bot lane and managed to secure two turrets.
As a result, Yuelan only led in gold for a tiny bit.
The game continued to drag on for another while and finally, the Mature Saint spawned @20 minutes.
At that time, Fu Yue saw Ilay along with Dange and One gathered around the mid lane to clear the wave. All of a sudden, they recklessly provoked a fight with Zizi causing his teammates to come over and help.
As for K and Yippee?
They were sneakily doing the Saint in the dark!
K had a long-range auto attack so he could deal damage outside of the pit while Yippee was tank enough to take the Saint's damage.
This operation was practically stealing right under Sunzheng's nose!
Sunzheng would never expect Yuelan to pull this disgusted move so by the time they figured something was wrong it was already too late.
A Saint buff in exchange for a support's life was more than worth it.
"Yuelan is really sneaky. Hey, do you know who their commander is?"
[A/N: Commander is the who is making the shotcalls.]
Fu Yue subconsciously turned his head to the side wanting to ask the experienced player. However, the scene that greeted him was merely an empty seat.
This was the last game so Fu Yue put all of his attention toward the big screen and was unaware of his surroundings. Therefore, he did not know since when did the other party leave.
"He left even before the first blood appeared."
Seeing his little brother blankly stared at the empty seat, Fu Zhen lightly explained to which Fu Yue turned his head to look at his big brother in surprise, "That fast?"
That guy has been watching since game 1 but left during the most important match?
Toward his question, Fu Zhen simply shrugged his shoulders, "Maybe he was busy?"
Fu Yue found his statement reasonable so he quickly pushed this matter aside and went back to watch the match.
Truth be told, Sunzheng was currently on the losing end. If they could not win the next teamfight then it was a foregone conclusion.
Yuelan's fans were so high as if they got injected with chicken blood while Sunzheng's fans began to feel worried for their team.
The game was dragged into 40 minutes and Sunzheng finally decided to force the Saint as they became desperate.
They thought that Yuelan would come to stop them but who knew that they only sent Yippee and One while the rest of the three were actually in the bot lane knocking on their inhibitor turret?
Sunzheng was unwilling to throw away the Saint so Zizi was trying to recall back but kept getting interrupted by Yippee while One was harassing the rest of the team who were killing the Saint.
One's damage was quite high so Radanh could barely smite the Saint before turning onto One. However, just as One was about to die, Dange timely teleported to keep him alive before arriving at the scene to take on the rest of the fight.
Zizi on the other hand finally managed to kill Yippee but he was once again got interrupted by Dange.
By this time, Sunzheng knew that they had fallen into Yuelan's trap.
Yuelan's true intention was to lead Sunzheng out of their base and kept Zizi from recalling back at all costs!
At this time, XiaoXi was frantically shredding turrets. When someone from Sunzheng finally realled to the base he had already destroyed both of the nexus turrets.
Zizi was still being held back by a tank-bruiser Dange so XiaoXi had no problem facing anybody else except him alongside his support Ilay.
In the end, Zizi arrived but XiaoXi's last auto attack ticked away the last remaining Hp of the nexus crystal.
Seeing the red crystal exploded into countless fragments, every player on Yuelan team took off their headphones and excitedly ran to hug each other.
"Unbelievable! The underdog, Yuelan defeats Sunzheng to become this year's regional champion!"
The confetti instantly poured down on the stage while the huge screen displayed the excitement of Yuelan's players. Sunzheng, on the other hand, bid the crowd farewell before going off stage, dejected.
Unbothered by the loud cheers in the background, Zizi was Sunzheng Captain so his emotions were still under control as he helplessly sighed, "That last Saint call was my bad."
Wen, the top-laner refuted, "No, it was definitely a top diff. Watch was more useful than me in that game."
Lune, the ADC covered his eyes in frustration, "No, if only I could match with XiaoXi, we won't lose that third game and need to go to game 5."
Dance, the support, patted his right shoulder, "What are you talking about? Obviously, because of me who is a much worse support! Time is insanely good today."
Zizi had heard enough of his teammates' self-mockery so he impatiently waved his right hand, "Okay, that's enough. Don't forget that we will need to hear Coach Gu's scolding."
The moment everyone heard this, they all groaned in pain since their Coach was famous for being strict in this industry.
"Look like you are doing fine."
The moment everyone heard this low voice, they instantly stopped in their tracks as they looked incredulously at the tall exceedingly handsome man who was leaning against the wall seemingly as if waiting for them to arrive.
Realizing who that person was, everyone suddenly stood straight not even daring to breathe loudly.
Of course with Zizi as an exception they loudly shouted, "Greeting, Captain Wei!"
If Fu Yue were to be here, he would be gobsmacked upon hearing this since this was the very same person who was sitting near him not long ago.
And that person turned out to be none other than the famous pro player, Silence!
Wei Chen left early because it was not convenient for him to leave later on. Therefore, he went to wait at the backstage first.
In addition, he could see early on that Sunzheng would likely lose with the current development and as expected, he was not wrong.
Since there were only staff and players here, Wei Chen took off the hood and facemask while giving a light nod at their greetings.
Zizi on the sideline, couldn't help but give a big eye roll, "Wow, others might think that this guy is your Captain, not me! You are not well-behaved like this around me?"
Ge, who has always been quiet, at this moment, looked speechlessly at his own captain, "Of course, how can you and Captain Wei be compared?!"
Zizi, who was named the best mid laner: "..." This rascal!
Ge debuted three years ago and has always been a fan of Silence who was known as the best Jungler in the world. Presently, he was so happy that he threw his captain out of the window a long time ago.
Seeing the kids' shining eyes, Zizi pretended to shed crocodile tears while reaching out his right hand toward Wei Chen, "Lend me your handkerchief, I think I am going to cry tears of blood."
Wei Chen immediately rejected him without having any second thoughts, "Don't have it."
Zizi snapped his head to look at Wei Chen in disbelief, "Dont lie! A Bamboo like you always brings one with you!"
Everyone who heard their idol being called a Bamboo: "(⊙.⊙(☉ₒ☉)⊙.⊙)"
