Chapter 23: Too Easy

Kurono was sure that he didn't revive the other Kishimoto. Therefore, the one right here should be the Kishimoto that was still alive. However, Kurono really wanted to know how was she able to know so much, and how did she come here?

Kurono was having his own speculation. He hurriedly take Kishimoto's hands and checked, but there is no sign of her cutting her wrist.

"I didn't cut my wrist." said Kishimoto, knowing what in Kurono's minds.

"Then, how did you come here?" asked Kurono.

"I jumped down from a tall building." answered Kishimoto, looking down.

The others didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Kurono looked angrily at her and scolded, "Are you out of your mind? Why would you do that? What if you really died, and didn't come here?"

"I...I really wanted to know the truth." said Kishimoto. "I dreamed about all the things that happened after I attempted suicide. I saw myself got transferred here, doing mission with you, live with you, and died while looking at you. When, I checked your place, it really existed. That's why, I killed myself in order to know the truth. Now that I know the truth, I can finally be together with you. You won't push me away again, right?"

Kurono was rendered speechless. He thought that the girl already given up on coming after him. Looks like his assumption was totally wrong. This girl even dared to kill herself by jumping down from a building. If he push her away once more, then what will the girl do next?

One thing that Kurono really want to know is how did she suddenly get to dream about the memory of the other her? Is there some kind of connection between the two, since they are literally the same person?

"Sigh, this is really troublesome." Kurono hold his head, feeling the headaches attacking his brain.

"Calm down. Let's put that aside first. We need to prepare ourselves for the next mission." said Kato, advising Kurono.

"He is right. Things already happened, and she is already here. What we should do right now is to make sure we survive the next hunt." Sakuraoka also said her opinion.

"Well, you two are right." Kurono nodded. He then looked at Kishimoto, and said seriously, "Don't ever attempt anymore suicide. You hear me?"

"Okay." Kishimoto nodded.

"Also, you should stick close to me when we go out to hunt. I don't want anything bad happen to you."

Kishimoto's eyes brightened when she saw that Kurono was not really angry at her. She happily nodded, and said, "Okay. I will follow you wherever you go."

Sakuraoka sighed when she saw that Kishimoto's attention was fully on Kurono. Kato also sighed for the same reason. It looks like even the original Kishimoto also fancied his friends so much. He tried not to think much about it.

At this time, the same theme song played again. Not long after that, the same words appeared on the screen of the black ball, followed by the issuance of the new target.

Target: Shorty Alien

Characteristics: Strong, strong will

Likes: Virtually none

Quote: "I can see into your heart."

"Shorty Alien? Is it some dwarf alien?"

"Kei-chan, do you know them?" asked Kato, looked at Kurono.

"It's like the ball said. Those targets is just some short aliens. However, they are very strong, and also very agile."

"Those targets? You mean, there are many of them out there?" Sakuraoka asked in surprise.

"Well, in every mission, we will always face no less than two target. So, just expect that we will also face many aliens this time around too." advised Kurono.

"Ah, look. There is more target." Kishimoto attracted everyone's attention to look at the screen.

On the screen more target comes out.

Target: Tanaka Alien

Characteristics: Strong, fresh bird

Likes: Birds, Chick-balls

Quote: "Hah hah hah"

Target: Onion Alien

Characteristics: Strong, Smelly

Likes: Onion, Friendship

Quote: "Onion are enough for me."

"What? Why are there so many targets this time?" Kato almost screamed when he saw the list of targets.

Kurono is also surprised when he saw it. What happened? Is there a glitch in the timeline, that caused there to be some additional targets?

The only answer from the Gantz was starting the count down time, and the four of them got teleported one by one into the outside world.

Countdown time: 01:59:59

This time, the time limit was extended from one hour, to two hours.

As soon as Kurono come out, he was greeted by Dark.

[Hello host. It's been a while. Here's your mission.

Mission 3: Extract ten Shorty Alien's brain.

Mission details: Kill ten Shorty Aliens to be able to extract ten Shorty Alien's brain.

Rewards: 5 SP per brain.]

"Huh, Dark? You are back. What happened to your punishment?"

[I used some connections to cut out the time, and the difficulty of my punishment. So, I got out early. Did you miss me too much?]

"You wish. Why would I miss a loan shark like you?"

[Well, too bad then. Host, if you just said you missed me, I could have increased your rewards to 10 SP per brain.]

"Well, now that I think about it, I did miss you."

[Too late host. No increment in rewards.]

"...whatever."

This time, Kurono found a radar in his case. He took it and brought it together into the mission. He asked the others about the radar. "Anyone else have a radar?"

"I got one."

"I also have one."

"Here's mine."

So, everyone got their own radar, thought Kurono. "There are only the four of us, while there are so many targets this time. So, we have two options. One is go separate ways and each of us go hunt those aliens on our own. Second, we stick together until the end, while hunting all of them. What do you guys think?"

"I think we should stick together, and hunt them in a group."said Sakuraoka.

"I agree with her." Kato followed, and Kishimoto just nodded.

"Alright then." Kurono nodded, sticking to the majority opinions. "We could go and directly kill all the bosses and the mission will be over. However, I suggest for us all to defeat as much of the small fries as we can to gain more score."

The other nodded. After that, the headed out in a group. Suddenly they saw a group of ten Tanaka Aliens walking and passed on their side.

"Let's go settle these guys."

Kato and the two girls nodded. Kishimoto used the X-gun and shoot two Tanaka Aliens consecutively, while Sakuraoka uses her foot to beat down those aliens.

Kato decided to force the monster bird out of its human shell. He then targetted one of those guys, and gripped it as tightly as he can.

"GYOEE!! GUEH!! EAGHH!!"

The monster bird inside the human shell was forced out of it's shell, and screamed loudly.

"Gah!! this guy is too loud. It's hurting my ears."

"They are the most annoying bunch out of all the targets. Why did the Gantz keep on letting us fight them?"

After th monster bird come out, it jumped away and started running away. However, it collapsed on the ground not long after that, as it suffocated from air poisoning.

After the first kill, the team proceeded to take down all the targets as quickly as possible. In doing so, they pretty much beat down those targets, and did it so easily. This is because, they already experienced fighting the two types of aliens; the Onion Aliens, and the Tanaka Aliens.

This time around, Kato no longer showed any hesitation when fighting those targets. Though, if he can, he will used the sending away function to send those aliens away.

Sakuraoka on the other hand showed her fighting prowess. She mainly used her leg to kick and kill those aliens. If she could not overpower her opponents with her kick, then that's where she used her guns.

As for Kishimoto, she learned from the memory of the other her. She thinks that the previous her was too timid. So, she tried her best to contribute in this time mission.

Kurono himself didn't go to hunt the Tanaka and the Onion Aliens. He let the three to go take down these aliens, and got the points that was assigned to these targets. He will only attack to defeat any Shorty Aliens. He also acted when there are bosses that appeared.

The hunt go smoothly, and the four fighters got teleported back into the Gantz Room when the countdown ended.

"Let's see...Two Onion Aliens, one Adult Onion Alien, four Tanaka Aliens, one boss of Tanaka Alien, and two Shorty Aliens."

The score was divided into the following scoring:

Onion Alien - 1 pts

Adult Onion Alien - 3 pts

Tanaka Alien - 5 pts

Tanaka Alien (Boss) - 8 pts

Shorty Alien - 6 pts

According to the scoring, Kato did indeed collected 45 Points. Next it was Sakuraoka's turn to get her score.

"That's because she is good with Kung Fu." explained Kurono.

"I'm still not as good as you." said Sakuraoka, admitted that she cannot compare herself to Kurono. "I really wanted to know how much did you score this time."

"Way to go, Kei-chan. You can now revive Kishimoto...err, forget what I said." Kato was so excited when he saw the option, and suggested the third option.

"I won't revive anyone else for the time being. It's too dangerous for the others to be revived right now. There are still many dangerous mission in the future. So, we will only cause their immediate demise." said Kurono. "Let's use the points to improve ourselves. Gantz, I choose no. two. Please prepare some powerful weapon for me the next time we came back."

After that, Kurono's points was deducted as he chooses option two. Right now, he was left with just 50 pts.

Next, it was Kishimoto's turn to get her score.

"Even Kishimoto managed to get lots of score. She almost beaten me into it." sighed Kato.

This time mission have more targets compared to the last three mission. However, these target is relatively weaker compared to the Buddhist Aliens. Moreover, the group already experienced fighting against two of the three targets. Therefore, they were able to accomplish the task more easily compared yo the last time hunt.

Overall, the mission can be said to be too easy.

After completing the mission, they walked out of the room.

Kato was the first to head out. "I will be going then. See you guys next time."

Kurono looked at Kishimoto, and said, "Let me send you back."

Kishimoto shook her head. She then said, "Can I stay at your place tonight?"

"...well, this..." Kurono suddenly feel troubled. Right now, Sakuraoka is also staying at his place. What will Kishimoto say if she knew that another girl is staying with him?

Kurono involuntarily looked at Sakuraoka. Sakuraoka sighed when she saw his gaze. She then said, "I will be heading out first then."

After that, she walked away, feeling a bit sad.

Seeing her volunteering to walk away caused Kurono to feel anxious. Sakuraoka already told him that she have no place to return. Where would she go then?

"Wait!" Kurono hardened his resolve and called the tall girl. "Let's go together to my place."

Saying so, he took Kishimoto's hand, approached Sakuraoka and held her hand too. After that, he brought the two together with him.

Sakuraoka was surprised and blushed, but still followed Kurono. On the other hand, Kishimoto glanced between Sakuraoka and Kurono. She was about to ask, but heard Kurono spoke up first.

"Sakuraoka is my girlfriend."

Hearing the answer, caused Kishimoto to froze on her place, and looked blankly at Kurono. She then looked down with a sad face. Is he no longer have any feeling for me?

Kurono turned to look at her and said, "You are my girlfriend too."

Kishimoto's expression brightened and she looked at Kurono. However, she become sad again. She pointed at Kurono and Sakuraoka, saying, "But...you and her..."

At the side, Sakuraoka spoke out, "I don't mind sharing him with you."

"Eehhh!?" Kishimoto exclaimed in shock. Her thought process moved quickly, and her imagination about 'sharing' started going wild, making her face to turn completely red.

"Let's go home." said the young boy, and pulled the two.

"Eehh!? Wai...wait!!"

However, Kurono didn't let her go, and pulled her, bringing both girls back to his house.
