Chapter 1: The shadow is dead?

"Hey bro, the moon shines the brightest tonight I think?. " asked by a man in black suit of body armor to a fellow beside him.

"Yeah, and it's eerily quiet tonight too. Giving me the creeps." replied by the man.

The man who ask first then laugh at him and said , "For real bro? Your big ass is scared?." Then he chuckles again.

The man just smiled at the retort of his colleague, when suddenly he saw something like a line that shines through his collegue's neck. Then, slowly but surely he saw his fellow's head slides falling to the ground... A clean cut.

When he woke from his shocked state he looked up and saw someone from behind the corpse of his colleague just like a shadow. Clad in complete darkness, blending with the night. He immediately reached for his gun but before he can even reach it his vision started to blackout. Then he saw something familiar... it's his body.

'What the-.. ' his last thought before he died.

The man in shadow glance at the two bodies who were guarding a door. And then he casually just walks in.

'Let's wrap this up quickly tonight.' the shadow said to himself.

"How's the device progress?" Said by a middle aged man who wore an abundant amounts of sparkling jewelries.

"It's almost done, Governor." replied by one of the many people who are wearing a white lab coats.

"Good, good. Alert me ASAP if it's done." said the Governor.

"Yes, sir Governor."

When the Governor was on his way out they all suddenly heard some...

BOOOOOMMMM!

An explosion happened. The wall was blasted to pieces. Smoke, dust and debris covered the entire lab. Then something... no a person goes in to the newly exploded wall. A man covered in dark black tight suit holding a gun. He aims it right away to the Governor.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The Governor wasn't harm though, for his bodyguards immediately saw the man in black and quickly shielded the Governor with their bodies. Each bullet was never wasted. For each shot will kill one of the Governor's goons, one bullet each is enough. They are almost continuously getting shot and killed at the same time. Three bullets, three headshots!

Click, click.

The gun that the man in black holds ran out of its bullets. So, he didn't have any choice but to engage in a close-quarter combat. He then ran towards the group. While the governor's bodyguard put the Governor behind them or specifically they are already escorting him outside to safety.

"Eat this! " said by the bodyguard 1 after he got a hold of his assault rifle. But even before he can click the trigger the assassin who was charging at him quickly threw its bulletless pistol to his head causing him to stumble. The assassin immediately drew his short sword and slash right through to the bodyguard.

*Thud. His upper torso slides to its left side.

"Ahhh. " Yelp by bodyguard 1 and he died.

The others saw their comrade dies they too quickly reached for their guns. They aim at the assassin who was moving quickly across the laboratory.

"OPEN FIRE!" Loudly exclaimed by one of the bodyguards. With assault rifle in their hands it's impossible for the assassin to survive without a miracle.

... But, fate is really a bitch. When the assassin saw those bodyguards firing at him with no chance of him dodging. He just calmly whisper, "Battle Armor: On". Then visibly, the bodyguards saw the assassin's body suddenly getting bulkier... No, its his suit that's getting bulkier. They saw it with astonishment in their eyes how their bullets can't even pass through him.

"Fuck." As they all thought at the same time.

The assassin then got close to them and slashed them at the same time. Their heads flew up and the assassin just casually swing his sword to the side to get the bloods off.

The assassin immediately chased the Governor and its bodyguards. But when he arrived at the helipad the chopper was already above the sky.

"Sh*t!" Cursed by the assassin as he failed to kill the Governor. Well, though he failed to kill, the Governor isn't even the mission. But was what the Governor was making.

He ran back again to the laboratory to get the one he came for. A chip.

"So, here it is. " he said as he scan the contents above the table and the monitors. Then he spotted in one of the monitors that saying "It's Completed. Ready to be taken off. " Then the assassin without much hesitation he immediately grabbed the chip and radio-called his partner,

"It's done, I retrieved the item. Waiting for instructions, over."

"Roger that, Codename: Lurking. Immediately go to the extraction point, over. " replied from the radio.

"Understo-.. " before he can make his move when suddenly he got surrounded by enemies!

"HEY! DON'T MOVE! " Shouted by one of the men that newly showed up as they point their guns at the assassin.

The assassin smiled behind his mask then out of nowhere something fall off of his belt.

A ball.

BOOM! A flash of light immediately clouded their vision and the assassin reach for another metal ball, a smoke grenade and he launch it between the reinforcement and to himself. Then, he took off running for he got a chance.

"Fire! " The leader of the armed men loudly commanded.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

"Halt!. Give chase don't let him get away, men!" As the leader ordered again.

While they're busy chasing him the assassin got to escaped immediately as he jumped to a cliff without hesitation. He fell, and as he saw he was almost at the bottom of the ground he fired a hook with chains that came from his belt and aim that at the top of the cliff where a large boulder was and it slowed him down by a notch, enough for him to survive. As soon as his feet felt the ground he quickly took off and sprinted forward to a nearby rocks that's been stack piling.

"Where are you now, Lurking?" A call from the radio.

"I'm halfway through, over." He replied.

Then he walks over to a small entrance enough for a small car to fit in. He saw his beloved there covered in blanket he quickly uncovered it and rode on it. A motorcycle!

VROOOMM!

He then clasp the handle and he immediately got out in the small entrance and zoom out there. Even before he can got away he was spotted.

"He's on the highway now! I'm on his tail. I need immediate back up!" said by a goon of the Governor to the person on the other side of the phonecall.

VROOOMMM!

A motorcycle and a car was racing through a public road. Then after awhile the cops also join them.

Vroooom!

He speed up again. At last the car who was tailing the assassin was stopped by the cops. So, he immediately turn left and stopped to a nearby forest and left the motorcycle there and ran through the deepest part of it.

'For how long I had to ran, at last I managed to secure the mission and arrived at the extraction point in one piece.' The assassin thought.

"I secured the mission, over, I'm at the extraction point." He said to the radio.

And suddenly his heart skip a beat. His hairs stood up and he felt something ominous was about to happen.

"Roger, that's Good. Then Goodbye, Codename: Lurking. "

Then....

BOOOOMM!

A blast with a blinding light attacked the assassin. He was right at the center of the explosion as he clearly saw how his entire being just disappear or disintegrated to oblivion.

... And that's the last light he saw before he plunged to darkness.

The morning sun shines and the gentle breeze blowing gently at my face.

I opened my eyes albeit a little hazy. I slowly opened it and saw it...

The world, no the environment I'm in. Those luscious trees gently waving by the wind. The sun who gives light to every corner of the said environment. Fist-sized spider that's crawling on trees and on... me, my face??

"AAAAAHHHHHHHH! F*CKING GET OFF OF ME! " I screamed with all of my might and wildly flinging my twig arms to get the spider off my face.

... Wait, what twig?

I stopped my movements, completely forgot there is a huge ass spider and look again at my 'twig' arms that shouldn't be twig but muscular.

"Ha ha ha.. what the heck? What's happening." I thought, confused of what is happening.

"I need a mirror, but where? " then I spotted a little distance from where I am, A swamp. I stood up and ran. I realized that... this body? Get tired easily? This sh*t.

I arrived at the swamp and I quickly look at the surface of it. Then I saw... me? But why it is a kid's face? I touched my face and its so smooth.

"So, I got back to being a kid?" I emotionally stated and suddenly I chuckled, then it turned to a maniacal laughter just like how those villains laughed.

"My revenge is near!!." BWAHAHAHA-...

...Wait. Matte, matte. Hold on for a second. I quickly looked at the swamp again. Then there I saw clearly the face of the kid.

'It's not mine.' Then I looked around then I realized everything here is big, literally.

And it dawned at me, that I'm not in earth.

I'm in another world.
