Aurora's POV
Liam couldn’t decide if he wanted to sit or stand while he told me what he knew. He stood up and began pacing; my patience was running thin. What could be so terrible that he couldn’t tell me?
“Will you just spit it out already?” I didn’t mean to sound hostile, but I was at my widths end. I needed to know what was going on especially since it seemed to revolve around me. He nodded and sat on the edge of his desk, his hands falling into his lap.
“I don’t know where to start. I don’t know all the facts, but I know enough, I think. I told your mom that I would protect you with my life and I meant it,” he said.
My mother… What did she have to do with any of this? I moved to the edge of the chair and grabbed his hand. Whatever he knew would be enough. I just wanted to know the truth.
