Aurora’s POV
I leaned against the island trapped in my thoughts about what Janine meant. She was cryptic in her words, but it was sweet and genuine. My rumbling stomach was long gone from my mind as I tried to make sense of her words without forcing them to mean what I wanted them to mean.
If it were up to me it would mean that Liam loved me and we would live happily ever after despite anything else. In a perfect world, he would be my mate, unfortunately, this was far from a perfect world.
“Dawn?” Faith’s familiar voice said.
I blinked profusely bringing myself back to reality. I smiled as my best friend wrapped her arms around me.
I missed her. Between arguing with my mother and unwrapping my feelings for Liam I had neglected my time with her. We had always been inseparable and now it seems like we were always separated.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
