Chapter 37: Tears of Happiness

THE NEXT DAY

APOTHECARY SHOP

POV MARCELINE

Walking to the shop, I was tired from our celebration but still giddy. I was going to graduate, and the next chapter of my life was still waiting to be written. I had already called Grey to come over and help rebuild the shop. The more people that helped, the faster we could get it back up and running.

It had already been closed for almost a week while my parents gathered materials to rebuild. Of course, I had taken Grey's assistance in getting some of the more expensive items. He had told my mother that he would help pay for the extra items to upgrade the shop. My mother then insisted that he come and help, he had no chance to say no.

Approaching the shop, I spotted Grey already taking things from the truck waiting outside and into the shop. He was wearing a pair of old jeans and a shirt that had seen better days. I was surprised he even had clothes that worn.

"Good morning, slow poke," Grey commented, carrying in a small table.
