Chapter 37: Demands

Thea had finally managed to forgive him somewhat for letting Liam take over, or at least that’s what he had thought since she didn’t blow up at him again after that incident at the cafe. He sighed softly as he had responded to another email, his life had gotten a bit duller since he had stepped down from the position but the most important thing to him was that Thea was safe now.

No one had tried to come after them in nearly a month, and she hadn’t been kidnapped again when he did have to deal with some minor situations.

It was a win-win all around for him even if it meant that life was a bit on the boring side now. He finished the email and sent it off, checking his texts to see that Thea had responded positively to him asking her to go out for coffee with him again this afternoon when it came to their lunch breaks. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, things had at least been going well with her.
