Thea couldn’t help but worry her lip as she paced back and forth across Ash’s office. Time had seemed to fly by and she hadn’t heard from him in nearly five days, the last thing he had said to her was that he had promised to call her as soon as he could, which he had done but then it had been radio silence since then.
Just as she was in the middle of her thoughts, she heard her phone buzz on the desk, which pulled her from whatever her mind was going to come up with next, relief washed over her as she realized that it was Ash that was calling her. She answered the phone eagerly, her wolf finally quieting for a few moments as she held her phone up to her ear.
“Hello?” She said as she walked over to the couch and sat down, she could hear music playing in the background and she assumed that Ash was at a party, or out at another bar with the others.
“Hey you.” Ash rumbled, nearly slurring the words and a quiet huff had come from Thea as she realized he had been drinking.
