Before I could scream or shout or shove him, he already ducked down and licked. A soundless scream came out of my mouth as his tongue trailed up my thigh and right in between my legs. I grabbed his hair with both fists in surprise.
“What are you doing!?”

“I’m going to do what I should have done before. Maybe with my scent other b*stards will keep their hands off you,” he answered with his face deep against me.

I never stepped foot inside Mordecai’s room before. Just being outside the doorway, which I saw every day when I left my own room, felt foreign to me.


The black doors did not look welcoming at all. They gave off a foreboding feeling, as if they were the doors leading to Hell rather than the doors leading to my mate’s room.


I recalled Wendy’s words about us moving into the same room and almost laughed. With how we were, there was no way we could move into the same room together. I would prefer to stay in mine and never set foot in his.


Unfortunately, an impending war meant I had to go in. I think I’m banned from his office. He increased the Guards there, and they always gave me a worried look when I passed by it. I really wanted to scream at them.


F*ck. I placed a hand over my head. All this pent-up anger was driving me up the damn wall. I couldn’t keep going like this anymore. A Luna shouldn’t be going around yelling at her members because she was in a bad mood.
