Breaking In

Axio paid no mind to anyone else and just sped away and climbed up one of the towers as they were all still dumbstrucked by what had just happened, which only lasted for barely two seconds.

It was well enough for him to disappear again, throwing spawners from the top of the tower without worrying in the least, the two silver knights would take a while to deal with but he could simply employ the same strategy he had the last time for them.

As for the rest, well, they were still a handful to take care of but they still ended up exhausting themselves rather quickly due to both the stress and mass of monsters and animals piling up on them.

Slowly but surely, their numbers dwindled and this only invited more deaths, faster and faster, until only the two silver knights remained, until only one remained and until none were left, only bloody corpses covered in bruises, battered and beaten to death.

Gorging on all that food left behind, the small monster was surprisingly done with all of it in little time, all of this food going to the easily forgotten but most important aspect of him.

The skill all wretch were born with, Mithridation.

Though most of those corpses were of no use to him, he had devoured enough humans long ago, it was just a little treat for himself nowadays.

Refocusing on what really mattered, paying no heed to the dungeons and battle towers, which would remain there unless they were destoyed, he commanded one of the surviving monsters to try to break the chains covering the door.

A swole minotaur with a fresh wound across the entirety of his face approached the door, not hesitating at all to grab a chain in each hand and tried to pull with all of his strength.

Fresh blood suddenly splashed all over the wretch as the minotaur was killed unceremoniously, leaving only his two hands still gripping tightly against the chains, blood still pouring out of them.

Getting the blood of off his face, the wretch couldn't say he hadn't been expecting some sort of defense mechanism since this wasn't any peasant that was locked in there but certainly not of this sort.

He made his few remaining needled monster stand back, most of them had harrowing injuries that would most likely bring their ends sooner than latter but none could worry about this due to the claw embedded in their necks.

Much like how he manifested spawners, a orb appeared in the palm of his hand after a few moments, unfortunately, he couldn't produce the seeds of challenge as easily as he could spawners and they couldn't be modified in any ways too.

He would prepare a few and keep them around in advance anyways, so it wasn't a problem.

Casually throwing the orb as he was chucking a coin to a beggar, the orb burrowed itself right in front of the door and after a few moments, the tip of a tower started manifesting, the dull grey bricks struggling to push against the door and everything around it for the first few minutes.

Once it properly stabilised however, it had no issue shattering everything to be able to reach its intended height.

'That's a big one' remarked Axiolypito as he slipped through a tight space created from the destruction, making it inside the room.

All in all, it was pretty small, as should be expected from the size of the mountain it was in, too big and everything would probably collapse, sure, you could use special methods like magic or specific materials but if you just needed a small space, there was no need to try too hard.

Namely, this room was still too big for what it was imprisoning, for the one sealed in there had been put into a regular sized iron maiden, which was itselt situated in the center of a compact magic circle.

"This is enough to keep it in place?" the wretch, with little to no knowledge about the field of magical circles, had no clue how this small circle, which was probably giving mana to the iron maiden, could keep something related to a kin of his locked.

"He just isn't that good~" the disturbing voice of the yelow-eyed rang out once more.

"He hasn't awakened my flesh at all, I just granted it to him because I thought it would be funny~" he then revealed before breaking into a long, long laughing fit.

The wretch rolled his eyes and waited until he was done as he looked around the room, trying to see if the circle couldn't simply be undone by pressing a button or pulling a lever.

"So, what is it that your flesh does anyways?" Axio inquired once he settled down.

"Oh, it's just a discount version of my powers, adapted to his species as well"

"Heh, though, he isn't comfortable with cannibalising others, so he just makes use of my unending madness to empower his mind powers, the little caterpillar is missing on much"

"Fear of cannibalism? What a fucking pussy" Axio shook his head.

"Right? As if it wasn't natural to eat your own, I started with my mother and dead siblings myself and I turned out perfectly well" laughed the kin hysterically.

"Aah... Axiolypito was it? You're a nice one, I am Dramentia, The Cannibal Dragon or something like that, just hold the crystal and go open the iron maiden, don't worry about anything, I am to be trusted" after speaking the less trustworthy words possible, Dramentia didn't say anything else but Axio could just feel him just nodding his head as encouragement.

This sounded like the worst idea ever but since it was one of his kin, Axio followed his words without any apprehension, stepping into the circle without anything happening and then placing his hand on the iron maiden, still nothing happened.

He took some time to figure out of this thing opened and the second he found out, the iron maiden flung open in full, letting someone fall to the ground with a thud.

"Is that a human?" Axio tilted his head to get a good look at the man's face.

"Well of course, flesh and blood is out of the question, caterpillars don't work well either so I chose one caterpillar that seemed capable of becoming a butterfly" explained Dramentia without stuttering
