"Hello, Queen Of Monsters" Axiolypito greeted the gargantuan mass of obsidian that had just broken through the ground.
Having used his demented castle to trap the two mages and take them a fair distance away, he stood on perfectly flat stone where the center of Axia used to stand.
Everything that he wished to keep out of any fight had been carefully hidden, the domain of Faceless Lord, which had remained in place for years now around here had been dispelled a few moments ago.
The Obsidian Queen and he were standing in a desolate area, surrounded by empty houses, which was itself surrounded by a wasteland.
The perfect place for a fight of the ages to take place.
Neither of the two parties made a move however, the whistling of the wind being the only source of sound for a little while.
The featureless ruler of monsters looked down on Axiolypito, who in return bore a smile capable of infuriating the calmest of monks.
"You are truly one of a kind, Axiolypito" the queen was the first to break the silence, sounding dejected.
"There can only be one true god after all" Axio laughed but he truly believed in what he had just said, placing one hand on his chest before gesturing toward her.
"There seems to be something on your mind, you should unload your baggage before dying, go ahead" he snapped his fingers, causing the smooth platform they were on to rise up from the ground, revealing itself as a pillar.
He wasn't feeling against theatrics today.
Already tasting victory on his tongue, he licked his teeth and was genuinely offering the Obsidian Queen a talk.
His overconfidence had pierced through the cosmos itself.
"I am simply regretful to have chosen to try and use you in my efforts rather than kill you at the first occasion" the queen's gigantic mass slumped.
"You see, I only have one ability, I always believed it to be infallible and it was, until you appeared"
Axio raised his shoulders, clearly unbothered by the sharp, almost tangible killing intent she emitted his way.
"It allows me to see into the future, like a seer would with divinations, the only difference being, that I was always able to interfere with fate and change it as I wished" she stopped for a brief instant.
"I was untouchable, unlike everything else in existence, my fate and those of the ones I interacted with wasn't set in stone, nothing and no one could reach me or vaguely threaten me, if fate was in my favor, I followed it! If it wasn't, I could simply mold it to my whims!"
For the first time ever, the Obsidian Queen's tone rose.
"I was a god down here, my total dominion over this entire world was only a matter of time..." the small, humanoid shape in the center of the endless mountain of obsidian stared directly at Axiolypito.
"...But one day, I saw that my fate had took a strange turn, with me dead and a lowly, pathetic wretch in my place, so I sought this wretch out, you of course"
"It was insulting to see, nevertheless, my powers could avoid this entirely, I had already clashed with The Condemned and successfully convinced him to work under me instead of against me, I manipulated fate so that you would end up the same way" she seemed to be growing more and more restless while Axio was just standing there.
He was looking at her with the sort of look you gave to an annoying coworker that was too idiotic to even notice your open disdain.
"Fate had been changed when I implanted you with a shard of obsidian, I was right back on track toward reaching the very top"
"But fate changed again, didn't it?" Axiolypito interrupted her monologue, it was obvious what she was leading up to.
"Right, my shard was destroyed and for a while, fate seemed unclear, yet to be decided- It was a first but I wasn't worried yet... Until fate was decided and I found out that I was powerless to modify it" she remembered this instant perfectly, it was like the floor beneath her had disappeared and that she had been doomed to fall into the void for eternity.
This wasn't something she had expected or was ready to deal with, the fate she was perceiving now needed to be changed, but she couldn't, her powers had failed her.
"Hold on, are you telling me that since you saw yourself losing in that unchangeable destiny, you just gave up? Is that why you didn't inform Reduvia or anyone else that the shard in my brain had been destroyed?"
"You gave up on fighting me because fate told you that you would fail?" Axiolypito frowned, no longer feeling like messing around.
"..."
"I can not defy fate without my ability, no one can"
"Spoken like a true loser! I changed my own fate, you told me as much" he shook his head.
"I am disappointed, I honestly hoped that my final obstacle would be more difficult than this, there is no merit in rising to the top by crushing a pathetic insect like you, no matter, it was a foregone conclusion either way" a slight smile returned to his lips as rose his hand above his head.
"Give it your all, your majesty" he cackled as a loud boom shook them up even at their current altitude.
The behemoth-sized spawner he had been nourishing for so long flew up above his hand, followed by the thousands of other spawners that had been placed around Axia.
They all merged into the larger one in mere instants before Axio began to condense it.
It had severely dwarfed even the likes of the Obsidian Queen and The Condemned at first, but under Axiolypito's expert manipulation, it was reduced to a mere marble, fitting in between his thumb and index finger.
"This is the most supreme expression of my spawners, every single species of animals I have consumed and gained the ability to summon through my spawners has been merged into one, each singular species dozens of times over, all components condensed and perfected to spawn the pinnacle of each of them"
The queen had had her time to speak, now it was his time to have his own.
"The abomination this would spawn would already be much more than enough to erase your existence, to that, I add the Abyss's corruption I hold in my heart, more than doubling its power"
"However, since it is my first time doing this purposefully, I shall add another component to make sure it is viable" explaining this, he stretched out his other arms and manifested an offspring.
It had been specifically bred until it resembled nothing but a cube.
Inserting the spawner into the cube, he casually threw it to the ground in front of him.
"A little flesh suit to make sure it doesn't fall apart too soon" he commented as the cube quickly stretched to the same size as the Obsidian Queen, assuming a form one simply couldn't describe.
Axiolypito had just conjured an abomination worthy of being called eldritch.
