The students who had gathered to watch the battle between Jameson and Emma were in awe of the sheer power that Jameson possessed. As they watched him easily deflect Emma's spells, they couldn't help but whisper amongst themselves about his abilities.
"Do you see that?" said one student, his eyes wide with amazement. "Jameson is just very powerful. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as skilled as him."
His friends nodded in agreement, all of them impressed by Jameson's abilities. They had heard rumors about his strength, but seeing it in action was an entirely different experience.
"I heard he's a flame element mage," said another student. "That's why his attacks are so intense."
The group fell silent as they watched Jameson launch another attack, a ball of fire that exploded on impact with the ground. Emma managed to dodge it, but the force of the blast sent her flying backward, landing hard on the ground.
"Wow," said a third student. "I can't believe how strong he is. Emma's really no match for him."
But despite their admiration for Jameson's abilities, there was a sense of unease among the students. Jameson's arrogance and cruelty were evident in the way he taunted Emma, and it was clear that he took pleasure in belittling his opponents.
"I don't like the way he's treating Emma," said one of the students. "It's not right to be so cruel, even if you're a skilled mage."
His friends nodded in agreement, and they all turned their attention back to the battle, hoping that Emma would be able to prove herself and defeat Jameson.
As the match wore on, the students watched with bated breath, cheering for Emma whenever she managed to land a successful attack on Jameson. But it was clear that Jameson was the stronger of the two, and eventually, he managed to overpower Emma and defeat her.
The crowd fell silent as Jameson mocked Emma, taunting her for her weakness and lack of skill. The students watched in disgust as Jameson's true nature was revealed, his arrogance and cruelty on full display.
"I can't believe he's so mean," said one of the students. "It's one thing to be powerful, but to act like that? It's just wrong."
The group nodded in agreement, their admiration for Jameson's abilities replaced by a sense of disgust and disappointment. They had hoped to witness a fair and honorable battle, but Jameson's behavior had soured the entire experience.
While the students were discussing Jameson's behavior and skill, the representatives who had organized the battle had a different perspective on the matter.
"He was strong, and he got that attitude," said one of the representatives, watching the battle intently. "That attitude is also needed for the organization."
His colleagues nodded in agreement, and they exchanged a knowing look. They had specifically chosen Jameson to represent their organization because of his strength and his ruthless attitude.
In their line of work, they needed someone who was willing to do whatever it took to achieve their goals, even if it meant sacrificing their opponents.
"Jameson has what it takes to succeed," said another representative. "He's not afraid to get his hands dirty, and he knows how to use his power to his advantage."
The group watched as Jameson launched another attack, his flames illuminating the battlefield. Emma tried to dodge, but Jameson was too quick, and his attack landed squarely on her. She cried out in pain, and the students winced in sympathy.
But the representatives remained impassive, their focus solely on Jameson. They knew that in their line of work, emotions could be a liability, and they prided themselves on their ability to remain detached and analytical.
"Jameson is going to be an asset to our organization," said a third representative, watching as Jameson mocked Emma once again. "He has the skill and the attitude that we need to succeed."
The others nodded in agreement, and they continued to watch the battle unfold. While the students were disgusted by Jameson's behavior, the representatives saw it as a necessary part of their work.
In their line of business, there was no room for sentimentality or compassion. Only strength and determination could lead to success.
After defeating Emma, Jameson strode back to his seat, looking pleased with himself. The crowd of students had fallen silent, and many of them were still reeling from the shock of seeing Emma defeated so easily.
Jameson took a swig of water from his bottle and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He looked around the arena, sizing up the other competitors who were waiting for their turn to fight.
He felt confident in his abilities, knowing that he was one of the strongest mages in the competition. But he also knew that there were others who could pose a threat to him, and he was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
The next pair to take the stage was Levi and Tano. The audience watched with anticipation as the two mages faced off against each other. Tano was known to be one of Jameson's lackeys, and many wondered if he would be just as cruel and arrogant as his friend.
The atmosphere in the arena had changed drastically as the second round of the competition began. Tano, one of Jameson's lackeys, stepped into the arena with an air of confidence, while his opponent, Levi, seemed much more laid-back.
As Tano stepped forward, he looked directly at Levi and said, "You don't stand a chance against me, Levi. Just give up now and save yourself the embarrassment."
Levi chuckled in response, his easy-going demeanor seeming to irk Tano even more. "Oh really?" he said, with a mischievous glint in his eye. "I was hoping for a bit more of a challenge, but I guess I'll just have to make do with you."
The crowd laughed at Levi's mockery, and Tano's face grew red with anger. He had underestimated Levi, thinking him to be an easy target, but he was quickly realizing that he had made a mistake.
The two opponents took their positions at opposite ends of the arena, and the match began.
