Chapter 23. living and cultivation in the city

The next morning, Xua Yan woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start his day. The first thing on his mind was breakfast, as he was feeling hungry. So, he decided to go to a nearby hotel to grab a meal. The hotel was a popular establishment in the area, known for its delicious food and friendly staff. Xua Yan had heard about the place from Uncle Jiang, and was eager to try it for himself.

As he walked through the bustling streets, Xua Yan took in his surroundings. He saw vendors selling fresh produce and crafts, merchants haggling over prices, and families going about their daily business. The sights, sounds, and smells of the city filled Xua Yan with a sense of excitement and wonder. He felt like a small part of something much larger and more complex, and it was invigorating.

When Xua Yan arrived at the hotel, he was greeted by the smell of sizzling meats and the sounds of happy customers. The interior of the hotel was clean and brightly lit, with tables and chairs arranged in an orderly fashion. The staff were friendly and efficient, and Xua Yan was quickly seated at a table.

He looked over the menu and was impressed by the variety of options available. There were dishes to suit every taste, from savory breakfasts to hearty lunches. Xua Yan decided to try the hotel's famous noodle soup, and was not disappointed. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. He also ordered some steamed buns and a pot of tea, which rounded out his meal perfectly.

As he ate, Xua Yan took in the sights and sounds of the busy hotel. He watched as families laughed and chatted, and listened to the sounds of clanging pots and sizzling pans from the kitchen. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and Xua Yan felt like he was a part of something special. When Xua Yan had finished his meal, he thanked the staff and left the hotel.

After Xua Yan left the hotel, he found that the food he was eating in the city was not providing him with sprite energy at all. He realized that he needed to find a better source of nutrition in order to maintain his strength and vitality. This led him to the decision to visit the jungle and hunt spirit beasts to make food from them.

Xua Yan understood the importance of a healthy and balanced diet, especially since he was participating in the upcoming martial arts competition. He wanted to make sure that he was in top physical shape, and he knew that the food in the city was not enough to meet his needs. He decided to take matters into his own hands and venture into the jungle to find the best possible source of nutrition and energy through which he can improve his martial arts and broke through his martial arts level to energy gathering level 2.

Xua Yan arrived at his shelter in the jungle, taking a moment to admire the beauty of his surroundings. The dense, lush forest was teeming with life, and the air was filled with the sounds of exotic birds and other creatures. Despite the peaceful setting, Xua Yan was aware of the danger that lurked in the jungle. He had built the shelter as a safe haven, a place where he could retreat from the dangers of the world, but also a place where he could hunt and gather resources.

Xua Yan was a seasoned hunter, and he knew the importance of being aware of his surroundings at all times. The jungle was home to many powerful and dangerous beasts, and he would need to be on guard if he wanted to avoid danger. He knew that his hunting skills and knowledge of the jungle would be put to the test, but he was confident in his abilities.

The jungle was a challenging and dangerous place, but it was also a place where Xua Yan felt at home. He was drawn to the sense of adventure and discovery that the jungle provided, and he was always eager to explore its many secrets. He took a deep breath and started his journey deeper into the forest, moving quietly and cautiously, ready for anything.

As he walked, Xua Yan used his Spirit Scene ability to sense the presence of energy-gathering level beasts in the area. He was searching for creatures that could provide him with a source of food and energy, as well as materials that he could sell it to gain money. He knew that the hunt would not be easy, but he was prepared to face any challenges that lay ahead.

After a while, Xua Yan found what he was looking for, a group of beasts that he could hunt. He prepared his weapons and approached the beasts, ready for a fight. Despite their powerful energy and the danger that they posed, Xua Yan remained focused and determined. He was a skilled hunter, and he knew that he could overcome any obstacle that stood in his way.

With a fierce determination, Xua Yan attacked the beasts, using all of his strength and skill to take them down. Despite their ferocity, he was able to overcome them, and he emerged from the jungle victorious, with a fresh supply of food and energy. He put their bodies inside of Entropy and returned to his shelter, proud of his accomplishments, and ready to continue his journey.

After a successful day of hunting, Xua Yan returned to the rented house in the city. He was feeling hungry, and with the afternoon sun beating down on him, he decided to cook one of the 10 energy-gathering level beasts he had caught.

To start the cooking process, Xua Yan built a fire outside of the house using dry twigs and branches he had gathered from the jungle. He then cleaned and prepared the beast, removing any inedible parts and slicing it into smaller pieces for cooking. He seasoned the meat with spices and herbs that he had brought with him, and placed it on a makeshift grill that he had created over the fire.

As the meat cooked, Xua Yan tended to the fire, making sure that it was at the right temperature and that the meat was cooking evenly. He occasionally basted the meat with a mixture of oil and spices, to add more flavor and keep the meat moist. As the aroma of the cooking meat filled the air, Xua Yan's mouth started to water and he realized just how hungry he was.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the meat was cooked to perfection. Xua Yan removed it from the fire and let it rest for a few minutes before cutting into it and taking a bite. The flavor was amazing, and the meat was juicy and tender. Xua Yan was very satisfied with the meal he had made, and he ate until he was completely full.

After finishing his meal, Xua Yan cleaned up the cooking area and put out the fire. He then retired to his house for the evening, feeling content and satisfied after a successful day of hunting and cooking.

After finishing his meal of the energy-gathering level beast, Xua Yan felt a sudden rush of energy inside his body. He knew that it was time for him to start cultivating, as the energy from the meat would help enhance his cultivation progress. So, he went inside of the entropy and sat down in a comfortable position near the tree and began circulating his inner qi using the cultivation method that he had obtained from Entropy.

As he started to circulate his inner qi, Xua Yan closed his eyes and focused on the flow of energy within his body. He was well-versed in the cultivation method that he had received, and he knew that it was important to maintain his concentration and focus at all times. He felt the flow of energy getting stronger and stronger as he continued to circulate his inner qi, and he could feel the power and strength within him increasing.

Xua Yan continued to cultivate for several days inside of the entropy, feeling the energy inside of him grow and grow. He was determined to make the most of this opportunity and to become stronger and more powerful. As he cultivated, he could feel the energy from the beast he had eaten being absorbed into his body, increasing his power and helping him to reach higher levels of cultivation.

By the time he was finished with his cultivation, Xua Yan was exhausted but filled with a sense of accomplishment. He felt a new sense of energy and vitality within him, but Xua Yan had a feeling that he was far away from his breakthrough right now. But one thing he felt while training was that he was able to feel his body also getting stronger as his progress in his energy-gathering level cultivation, Xua Yan felt amazed by this because what he had learned about from his previous owner of his body was that one could only train his body is in his body tempering stage and after that one starts training in energy-gathering stage. Xua Yan felt that what was happening to him must be unique to him or the information he had might be incorrect, and decided to get to the bottom of everything. But the problem he faced was that he had no one to ask these questions through which he could get a proper answer. By reaching this conclusion he was more determined to participate in upcoming martial arts competitions so that he could join any sect or military in order to get a proper understanding of martial arts and continue his journey on his martial path.

After that he left Entropy and came back to the outside world. After coming back he found out that it was around midnight. And after coming outside he ate some of the leftover food that he had prepared in the afternoon. And after eating he decided to go out to see the view of the city at night time. He wears his usual assassin attire due to the habit of his past life. And after that as Xua Yan stepped out of his rented house into the dark, quiet streets of the city, he was struck by the peaceful stillness that enveloped the place. The bustling activity and the sounds of laughter and chatter that were so prominent during the day were nowhere to be found, and the only sounds he could hear were the occasional footsteps of a late-night traveler and the distant hoot of an owl. Despite the hour, the streets were still well-lit, with lanterns hanging from poles casting a warm glow over the cobblestone roads.

Xua Yan walked down the empty street, taking in the sights and sounds of the night-time city. The buildings were dark and silent, and most of the windows were shut tight. The only signs of life came from the occasional inn or tavern, where the sounds of music and laughter could be heard filtering out into the street. Xua Yan took it all in, fascinated by the stark contrast between the daytime city and the nighttime city.

As he walked further down the street, Xua Yan noticed that the number of people on the streets was significantly lower than during the day. The only people he saw were a few late-night travelers, who were hurrying along, heads down, and in a rush to get wherever they were going. The city was eerily quiet, and Xua Yan couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness. Despite the peace and stillness that he felt, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing out on something.

He wandered further, taking in the sights and sounds of the night-time city. He saw small street vendors who had set up shop along the roads, selling late-night snacks and drinks. He saw a few groups of friends laughing and chatting as they walked along, clearly enjoying their night out. And he saw the occasional couple, walking hand in hand, lost in their own world. As he continued to enjoy the view of the city, taking in the sights and sounds of the night he suddenly heard the sound of whispers from the people hidden in a dark alley.
