"Ren-sama, we have arrived"
warned Hana beside me. Our goal was the capital of Solaris, where we would go to my store. I intended to update myself with Rebecca on the progress of the store as well as ask her how the construction of the mall is going. The construction had been temporarily stopped because of the war, and I still had no news on the current progress of the construction.
While I was thinking about this, the scenery outside the carriage continued to pass by. I probably slept at some point since my last memory is that we were crossing the forest, and now we are already inside the city, apparently. Looking through the window, I see several people walking while having smiles on their faces.
(It seems that people have returned to their daily lives)
I thought with a soft smile on my face. As I thought this, the carriage slowly began to stop, indicating that we had reached our destination. The carriage was still without a coat of arms as I had not yet chosen one to represent my family, but even without a coat of arms, I spent a good amount of money to build this carriage. After all, the carriage also shows the power of your family, and there is no demerit in having a good carriage even if it doesn't yet have a coat of arms.
As soon as the carriage stopped, I got up and went to the door that was opened by the coachman. Soon, Hana and I got out of the carriage and started walking to my store. As always, a long line stretched from the entrance, showing that the store was still as popular as ever.
"Let's go in the back"
I said as I started walking, being followed by Hana. As soon as we reached the back door, Hana spoke behind me before I opened the door.
"And is it always crowded like this, Ren-sama?"
Hana asked. As soon as I heard her voice, I turned to Hana and found her staring at me, curiosity could be seen in her eyes.
"Well... I can't say for sure since I don't come here all the time, but whenever I do, the store is just the way you saw it before"
I said as I looked at Hana. Hearing my words, her doubt seemed to have been satisfied. By the way, the reason I brought Hana with me instead of Oliver is quite simple. Besides the fact that Oliver is taking care of some documents in my place at the mansion, Hana is my exclusive employee. Besides that, Hana is no less competent than Oliver.
After that, Hana and I entered the store and proceeded to the second floor. We walked down the corridor until we reached the last door where Rebecca's name was written along with her position. As soon as I knocked twice on the door, a voice echoed from inside.
"Come in"
Said a voice coming from inside. Following the voice, I opened the door and entered the room where I found Rebecca sitting at a table flipping through some documents regarding the store. This time, Ammy's brothers were not with her, which I found quite strange.
"Where are Ammy's brothers?"
I asked as I walked over to Rebecca.
"Oh, and you, Ren, you actually said you were coming, right?"
Said Rebecca, a little confused. She looked genuinely tired. How to say, she looked exactly like those corporate slaves I heard about from my past life.
"Rebecca, are you okay?"
I asked as I looked at her.
"I'm fine, just a little tired"
Rebecca said, sighing.
"Since the end of the war, we have gotten pretty busy, with a lot of requests all at once"
Said Rebecca, turning her gaze to Hana. She seemed to finally notice that there was someone else besides me in the room.
"Speaking of which, who is it?"
Rebecca asked as she looked at Hana, her expression clearly showing her doubt about why she had a maid here.
"And true, I haven't introduced you two yet. This is Hana, my exclusive maid"
I said while pointing to Hana. Hearing my words, Rebecca wasn't too surprised or anything. Anyway, it's not like it's a secret that I became a noble. Probably, Rebecca must think it's normal for a noble to hang around with his maid since she herself has seen it several times.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Hana, and I am Ren-sama's exclusive maid"
Said Hana, bowing slightly.
"Seeing this really makes me realize that you have become a nobleman... Should I address you as Ren-sama from now on as well?"
Rebecca asked with a doubtful expression on her face.
"That is not necessary. You can continue to interact with me as we always did. I will also be more comfortable that way"
I said with a soft smile on my face. Hearing my words, Rebecca nodded and soon seemed to remember something.
"Oh, we almost got away from the main subject. About Ammy's brothers, after we opened the other three subsidiaries, I put Ammy's brothers to work on them"
Said Rebecca as she sat down on a couch that was in her office. After that, Rebecca and I talked about some of the things that I had questions about. She also told me about Ammy's brothers and how they seem to be doing well in running the other subsidiaries of my store.
Rebecca let out a sigh as soon as she heard me ask this. She said that although the construction of the mall is going smoothly, and it is an undeniable fact that the war has delayed the construction by a few months.
"And it's a shame to hear that"
I said as I looked at Rebecca with a frown on my face.
"You don't have to worry too much about it. It will only take at most one to two months longer than expected"
Rebecca said, trying to reassure me.
"Is it okay if I go to the site? I want to see for myself how the mall is progressing"
