Chapter 82 - Going back to the academy

After my conversation with Brad, some time passed again. I continued to receive constant reports from Rebecca about the mall that was under construction. Thanks to this, I was able to stay calm and leave this matter in Rebecca's hands with tranquility. During this time, I had also already started the process for the fabrication of the white papers in my old world.

But as this will be the first time this will be done in this world, it is expected that it will take at least a month until we get close to the result I am expecting. In this time, I also received some letters from Ammy. She seems to be doing relatively well in her research and always thanks me for having hired her mother as one of the managers of the mall when it is finished.

Also, finally, it was time to go back to the academy. The announcement was made through a letter that arrived for me a few days ago. Today will be the day that the academy will be open for students again. I was happy to hear this as it also means that people are slowly returning to their daily lives after the war. Of course, seeing Emi, Eric, and Flora is also one of the reasons I am so excited.

As in this time, I haven't been able to have any contact with any of the three of them, I am rather looking forward to seeing them again. With that thought, I finished putting on my uniform and started walking out of the mansion. As soon as I went down the stairs that led to the second floor, I found my family along with Hana and Oliver who seemed to be waiting for me at the entrance.

While Oliver and Hana kept their professional faces, my parents openly showed a small smile on their faces. Ana was the only one who looked down. She probably didn't want to part with me since it had been a short time since we had met again.

"I'm coming, Mom, Dad, Anna"

I said as I looked at the three of them. My parents responded to my words with smiles and nodded their heads. Anna was the only one who still looked down. Seeing this, I bent down until I was about her size and put my hand on her head.

"Don't worry, Anna. You and I will see each other again soon. I promise I will bring you some presents when I get back"

I said with a soft smile on my face. As soon as she heard my words, Anna put a smile on her face.

"And a promise"

Anna said, extending her little finger to me. With a smile on my face, I sealed the promise with Anna.

"Don't forget to study well while I'm at the academy, all right?"

I said as I faced Anna. Hearing my words, she nodded. After this farewell, I walked to the carriage that would take me to the academy. Oliver and Hana will not be going with me since the academy has no servant system. By the way, my carriage now had an emblem to represent my territory. I chose the design of an atom. Since the people of this world don't know what an atom is, it probably won't have any problems.

As soon as I entered the carriage, I said goodbye to my family, and soon the carriage started to head towards the capital of Solaris. The trip was quite smooth, and we had no unforeseen events on the way. As soon as we entered the city, I looked outside and saw the people walking from one side to the other.

After experiencing war, even if it was from a safe place, this sight really warms my heart. After we entered the city, the carriage continued to move towards the academy. I asked the coachman to stop a little earlier since I did not want to draw unnecessary attention. As soon as we arrived at our destination, the carriage stopped, and as soon as I got off, I said goodbye to the coachman who returned the way we came back to my territory.

After that, instead of entering my store, I just kept walking until I got to the gym. On the way, I bought some things to eat and took the opportunity to see if there was anything new around. In a few minutes of walking, I arrived at the gym. Since classes would only resume tomorrow, as soon as I entered the gym, I continued walking until I reached my dorm. On the way, I saw some students doing their daily activities.

(Looks like I wasn't the only one who had the idea to come a day early)

I thought as I watched the other students. After that, I reached the male dorm and went to my room. As soon as I opened the door, I saw Eric lying on the bed with his eyes closed. I really couldn't tell if he was sleeping or just relaxing, so I decided not to make much noise. But as soon as I put my bag on the table, a voice echoed behind me.

"Ren, how about you?"

Eric said. From the looks of it, he wasn't sleeping.

"Hey, man, I didn't think you were the type to arrive early"

I said with a soft smile on my face. Hearing my words, Eric put his hand to his chest, looking genuinely offended.

"Man, that way you hurt. I have a fragile heart, you know that?"

He said while making a victim face. Hearing his words, a smile made itself present on my face.

"Hahaha, hard to believe that when the person in question volunteered to participate in a war"

I said while keeping a smug smile on my face. Hearing my words, Eric gave a long sigh and went back to lie down again.

"My country said the same... and is it so bad to want to fight for my kingdom?"

Eric asked while keeping his eyes on me. But even if he asked, I had no idea what to say. It's not like I participated in the last war because I wanted to; events led to events, and I ended up finding myself in that situation.
