Chapter 113 - Walking with Emi by Crystal

The next day, I woke up as soon as the first rays of sunlight started painting the horizon. I knew it would be a long day, so I decided to sleep early the night before in order to wake up refreshed. After getting ready, I opened the door of my room and made my way to the dining room to have breakfast. Once again, I was kindly greeted by a maid who promptly opened the door as I approached, allowing me to enter. As I entered the room, I was momentarily surprised to see that someone had arrived a little before me. As I approached my chair, where a maid was waiting for me, after settling down, I locked eyes directly with Emi.

"Good morning"

While keeping my gaze on Emi, her charming golden eyes met mine. A sweet welcoming smile lit up her lips as she spoke her next words.

"Good morning"

Upon hearing Emi's words, a smile brightened my lips. Even though it was just a simple greeting, my heart was filled with joy to be able to share moments like this with her. As I reflected on it, a maid approached with a tray, carefully placing breakfast in front of me. Bread with butter, fresh milk, and scrambled eggs with vegetables were arranged on the table, ready to be savored.

However, neither Emi nor I started eating. Although we woke up relatively early, my parents had the habit of getting up early, and I imagined Emi's family was the same. Despite Anna not liking it very much, my parents used to insist, and she would probably show up in a few minutes as well. After waiting for about eight minutes, the door opened with heavy footsteps approaching. Looking in the direction of the noise, I could see both Emi's and my families approaching the table.

After the initial greetings, all the chairs were quickly occupied. Once the maids served the food, we started enjoying breakfast. While savoring our meals, we engaged in lively conversations covering various topics. The relaxed atmosphere was punctuated by occasional jokes from Asia, Aria, the king, the queen, and Albert. Overall, we enjoyed breakfast in an inviting atmosphere filled with contagious energy.

After finishing breakfast, we boarded a carriage and headed towards the bustling areas of Crystal. As we arrived, one by one we said goodbye, leaving the carriage and heading to different destinations. In the end, only Emi and I remained in front of the carriage, unsure of what to do next. Casting a quick glance at Emi, I noticed a sparkle in her eyes as she looked around. Although we were on a date, I hadn't planned anything in advance. Despite having researched Crystal beforehand, I confess that I don't have knowledge of the best places for us to visit.

"Well, it seems like she's interested in exploring, so I think we can just walk around while we look around"

As I approached Emi, a small smile formed on my lips. Maybe it was the sound of my footsteps that made her turn to me, and I could see the curiosity in her eyes as she tried to guess my intentions.

"What do you think about taking a stroll and exploring the area a bit? I don't know much about Crystal, so that was the only idea that came to mind. But I promise I'll do my best to make our walk as enjoyable as possible"

I looked at Emi with determination as I spoke, committing myself to do my best to make her happy. Upon hearing my words, Emi smiled and let out an adorable laugh.

"I really appreciate how much you're taking our meeting into consideration... but on a date, I believe both of us should make an effort to make our companion comfortable and happy, don't you think? Besides, I think it's a great idea to explore the streets and admire the attractions together"

Emi said with a warm smile on her lips, looking at me, which instantly made me return the smile. The memory of the understanding and love Emi always showed filled my heart with joy. I reached out my hand towards her and watched her momentary surprise as her eyes fixed on my hand. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks. Despite seeming hesitant at first, Emi finally took my hand, joining our hands in a gesture of connection.

Then, Emi and I started to walk slowly, admiring the vibrant atmosphere emanating from the people around us. Artworks were displayed everywhere, with the artists by their side, trying to sell them. The flow of people seemed unusually intense, so I asked Emi about it. She simply replied, explaining that it was common during exhibition days.

As we explored the area, we came across a store that apparently specialized in accessories. Although Emi didn't seem to be very interested in that kind of thing, I had the idea of getting her a gift. With that thought in mind, I entered the store, with a confused Emi following me. As soon as I stepped into the establishment, I was greeted by several showcases displaying necklaces and rings in various styles. As I observed each displayed piece, one of them caught my attention.

As I approached the counter, I was promptly attended to by one of the saleswomen, who was available and wore a professional smile on her face.

"Welcome, how can I assist you?"

The saleswoman asked, looking in my direction. In response, I handed her a card that was on top of the ring display that I desired and asked.

"Would it be possible to get two copies of this? One with male proportions and another with female proportions?"

I looked at the saleswoman as I expressed my request. Upon hearing my words, she nodded with a smile and replied.

"Sure, please wait a moment"

After saying that, the saleswoman promptly headed to the back of the store, disappearing for a moment. As I waited for her return, Emi's footsteps echoed behind me, capturing my attention. As Emi approached my side, she asked.

"Did you find something you liked?"
