Chapter Thirty-Two: House of Cards (Part II)

Third Person's View

In the left wing of the unknown mansion lies another captured person of Olivia's, but she hasn't been touched nor tortured nor talked to Olivia yet. She hasn't been able to walk though.

A heavy metal ball was attached to the chains clasped around her right foot. Her skin is exposed with only a sleeveless white silk dress that is above her knees, near to seeing her panty.

She is looking up at the ceiling. It has a beautiful chandelier and patterns which she didn't know exist. She looked around the room. It is purely magnificent. The interior is quite like a royal vibe to it but she can't feel that.

"I need to get out of here," she whispered to herself, trying to drag the metal ball with her as she pulled it with her two hands.

But it was no use. It is too heavy for her. She sighed as she sat down on the soft bed again, thinking of a strategy to make on how she could escaped the sudden life she is in.

She pictured how her best friend would feel like once she saw the part of the mall she was positioned before is gone, the confusion of the police and the non-ending gibberish talk of her almighty detective boyfriend.

She smiled at all her thoughts and propped herself into bed, looking at the weird patterns ij the ceiling again.

"I wonder if Shinichi and Sonoko is alright..." she whispered.

She could hear the chains clanking noisily, a sound that she is making because of her feet.

Her eyes dropped closed, imagining things that could calm her but all she saw is Shinichi, Shinichi, Shinichi, Shinichi, Shinichi...

Shinichi's face,

Shinichi's voice,

Shinichi's laughter,

The way he smirks when he finds another case interesting,

The way he blushes when he's embarrassed and shy,

The way Shinichi is serious whenever there's a case to solved,

Shinichi's worries when she's always caught in a trouble...

Shinichi, Shinichi, Shinichi...

"Are you having a fun time here without my beloved Jimmy?"

A voice rang on Ran's ears. No, that's not my subconscious nor my voice inside my head. The voice is familiar, more familiar when it speaks once again.

"Cat got your tongue? Did my subordinates cut your tongue while I was gone making a honeymoon with my beloved?"

She raised herself up to the bed and looked to the new arrival. There, she saw Olivia smirking while her arms are crossed over her chest, her back leaning to the open door.

The latter frowned as she looked at the woman wearing a fancy dress. "Are you satisfied?" she asked.

Olivia gave her an awkward smirk. "What?"

"Are you satisfied to lie?" the jailer asked, holding her frown still on her face. "I'm curious on why did you sent someone much more weaker and a cheater to you in the first place?" She is mentioning about the fight in the mall.

Olivia's face turned red in anger but she breathe in and out before looking to the girl she hated the most.

"Mouri Ran, daughter of a lawyer and a detective, I was so surprised you still manage to snap me out and tell me that I'm lying. Well, I'm NOT lying. If you see your boyfriend yourself, he gives himself to me."

"I know if he lost his virginity, it is by force," Ran smirked. "You lost, Olivia. Surprise! I'm sure it has been a long time since you dragged my memory out of my brain so you could use me to your evil plans."

"I AM Jimmy's first girlfriend so I deserved him!"

"But do you think he wants to be deserved to you?" Ran raised an eyebrow at her while giving her a teasing smirk.

Olivia's eyes widened in frustrating anger and she walked fast towards Ran, pinning her down on the bed. The chain is clinking again on Ran's feet.

Ran stared coldly at Olivia. "You know what, Olivia? I would rather just be a single rather than ruining a relationship when in fact, it is really the good deed who always wins."

"You ruined OUR relationship FIRST."

"But I never meant to ruin it," she said. "I'm just trying to help Shinichi to recover his memories."

"We are happy back then when his memories are gone! And when we came back here, you just made him yours!"

"He is MINE in the first place," Ran shouted. She chuckled with bitterness. "The fact you're still trying to lure us two is because you still love him with all your heart. Why don't you just let go of him? Let go of us? And our relationship? Why don't you just go find somebody knew? Why don't you just—"

"Shut up! SHUT. UP.!" Olivia shouted, making Ran flinched a little.

The obsession of Olivia is really something, Ran thought.

She looked around to see a way for her escape but to no avail, Olivia pushed her much more deeper down the bed and when Ran looked, a gun is on Olivia's hand. The forefinger is on the fire section.

Olivia's eyes are now widened with psychotic emotions. Ran raised an eyebrow again at her, crossing her arms with no mind to Olivia's hand.

"You see, if you just looked at me eith those eyes, I would like to call the mental hospital to pick you up."

For some reasons, Ran isn't scared of her situation. The gun is now pointing at her but she can't feel the thrill of being scared.

She sighed as she looked at Olivia with pity. "How poor little thing you are still dragging us in your petty little game. You should have a better life right now if you didn't kidnapped me that one time and made me your slave in a short time."

Her enemy smirked at her. "You still have the nerves to tease me when your life is oh-so in the line right now."

She scoffed. "Just see how you are changing, Olivia. Oh, not by the way you are really changing. You just became much worse."

"And you became much more obsessed with my boyfriend."

"Actually, he's not your boyfriend anymore so don't claim him as if he is yours."

"He's mine! And always be mine! F*** of—"

Suddenly, Olivia's body go limp and she falls down on Ran's body. She heard a thud and saw a soccer ball bouncing away from the bed.

"Ran!" A voice shouted at her in the distance. She looked where the voice is and her eyes widened to see the detective standing there, stilled as he also saw his lover.

"Ran! Ran!" he shouted more as he ran towards the bed, unlocking the metal chain on Ran's feet.

She frowned as she stared at Shinichi. "How did you find me?" she asked. "I thought Hayley also caught you and jailed you?"

"She tried to jail me but I find a way to escape from the other tower," Shinichi said, pulling Ran out of the room. She almost tripped. "We need to get out of here. Fast."

Ran followed Shinichi quietly. She never said a word as she followed his boyfriend out of the wing. She followed him until they're in a wide room. It is like a ballroom inside the palace on movies.

But Ran still couldn't feel the heavy weight lifting up. There's still something not right with the way Olivia get easily knocked out.

"Shinichi, wait," Ran said as she pulled her hand away from Shinichi.

"Not now, Ran. We must go out here or else—"

"There's something weird..."

"What weird?"

She raised an eyebrow to the detective boy as she crossed her arms to her chest. "Seriously, Shinichi? Are you really panicking that much to not see that there's something weird in this house?"

He looked at her, dumbfounded. "Ran... Is that really you?"

"What me?"

"Ah... Eh... You act different? Maybe?" Shinichi scratched his head as he lets out an awkward laugh. "Nevermind. What are you saying again?"

Ran face-palm herself mentally. "Shinichi, open your mind around you!" she shouted as she puts her hands on his shoulder. "I smell something fishy. There's something in this house we don't even know. And the weird thing is, Olivia is ALONE. There might be some other people here monitoring us."

Shinichi sighed heavily and looked around them. "You're right. I also kind of feel something is suspicious."

"Well, well, well..." Suddenly, a voice-like echo echoed in the entire room, making Ran and Shinichi's eyes widened in surprise.

"That voice..." Ran mumbled.

The windows suddenly have been covered with metallic walls. Windows are closed and blocked in, making the whole room shut down in the dark.

"Ran! Ran!" Shinichi shouted as he can't see his lover. He turned around and feel the air, hugging it sometimes to make sure Ran is in there, but he can't feel anything soft. There is no Ran, more like there is no human with him. He is alone, alone in the dark.

Ran clicked her tongue as Shinichi's voice echoed. "Shinichi!" she shouted once and the man heard it.

He turned around and shouted again, "Where are you?! Ran! Ran!"

"I'm here, Shinichi! I'm here!" Ran shouted and then, silence engulfed to the whole room.

A maniacal laughter echoed, a mature woman's voice that is driven with evil. They know who is it from.

"What a beautiful sight to see~~~" The soft voice of the speaker woman can feel the chills on Ran's bones.

A wall separating Shinichi and Ran is overheard, fast as lightning going up to the ceiling of the room and a light illuminated the whole area.

Ran and Shinichi finally could see but it is only from the light that is separating them. It is a wall transparent glass.

"Ran! Ran!" Shinichi shouted as he slammed his fist to the wall but it is no use.

Ran looked at the speaker she found just right beside the large window in the room before and glared at it.

"Olivia! Let us out of here!"

A smirk formed in Olivia's lips as she clicked the "unmute" button. "Oh, hi, my dearest boyfriend and his lovingly cheater b*tch! I assure you that all of this would pretty much be over if you just hand over my boyfriend to me," she said. "Deal or Not?"
