Maxwell's words were firm yet gentle as he pulled Melissa out of his embrace. "Let's get ready so we won't be late," he said with a smile.
Melissa's lips formed a pout as she released her grip from Maxwell's neck. "Do we really have to go to the wedding?" she asked softly. "I just want to stay here with you, cuddled up in your arms all day."
Maxwell's eyes lit up with joy and his heart swelled with happiness. He had been waiting for this moment, for Melissa to open up to him and share her true feelings. He felt like the luckiest man in the world. "Melissa," he called out as he hugged her belly, feeling the growth of their three children. "No matter what happens, always remember that I am yours. Maxwell loves you more than anything."
"I love you too, Maxwell," Melissa said. "No matter what happens in the future, always know that you are the first person I fell in love with and I will only love you in this life and the following six lives. You will be the only one in my heart; no one can ever take the place you have built in my heart."
"Let's get ready now," Maxwell said, his eyes shining with tears of joy. It was hard for him to believe that after Tina left him, he would find someone like Melissa. He had thought that all women would only love him for his money and eventually betray him. But Melissa came out of nowhere and stole his heart at first sight. He had feared that after all she had been through, she would never fall in love with him. He had prepared himself for a one-sided love, but fate had given him a second chance with a rare gem like Melissa. She was humble, beautiful, respectful, and independent. Unlike other women, she had her own aspirations and wanted to make something of her own. Maxwell felt complete now that he had found her. What more could he ask for?
Mellisa's keen observation led her to notice that Maxwell was avoiding eye contact with her. She gently lifted his chin, urging him to look into her eyes. To her surprise, she saw his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Maxwell," Mellisa spoke softly, "Have I said something that has upset you? Please let me know so that I can make amends."
Maxwell's face lit up with a smile, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him. "How could someone as pure-hearted as you ever say anything wrong?" he asked, his hand reaching up to tuck Mellisa's hair behind her ear. He gazed at her face intently, as if trying to etch her features into his memory.
Mellisa's cheeks turned a rosy hue, and her heart raced as she met Maxwell's gaze. "Then why are your eyes shining with tears?" she inquired, concern etched on her face. "Are you hurt somewhere?"
"I'm not crying, but these tears of joy are a testament to the happiness I feel," Maxwell exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "You have made me the wealthiest man in the world, and I desire nothing more than to have you by my side."
Mellisa blinked in confusion and bit her lip, "But you already have so much money. How can I make you the richest man in the world?"
Maxwell replied, "One can have all the riches in the world, but without someone to share it with, they are the poorest man alive. On the other hand, a man with people who love him is the richest man in the world. Your presence in my life has made me richer than I ever thought possible."
Mellisa smiled happily, "So that means I am the richest woman in the world, and we are the richest people in the world."
Maxwell spoke with a gentle tone, "Yes, we are baby dolls. Please, go and get ready." He helped Mellisa to her feet and continued, "I will be waiting for you downstairs after I finish getting ready. Please, do not keep me waiting for too long."
Mellisa kissed Maxwell's cheeks and quickly grabbed the paperback beside him before running into the dressing room.
Maxwell watched her with a smile and then rose off the couch to head to his room for a quick shower and change.
Michelle and Shina emerged from their room, and my, did they look stunning! Michelle was adorned in a long, one-armed red dress with a shimmering fabric. The dress was accentuated with a gold, snake-shaped fabric on one side of the arm. She completed the look with matching heels and earrings, and her lighter makeup only served to enhance her natural beauty.
Shina, on the other hand, wore a black , one-armed dress with a long V-neckline. Her milky fair legs were revealed by her silver heels, and she wore matching earrings. She opted for a simple lipstick, but her no-nonsense aura made her stand out in the crowd.
As Linda descended the stairs, she exclaimed, "Hey guys, how do I look?" Michelle and China turned their gaze towards her and were left in awe. Linda looked like a mature princess, and for some reason, her features seemed familiar, like Mellisa's. She wore a purple princess dress with no arms, and her hair was let down. Her light makeup only served to enhance her mature beauty.
"Linda, you look absolutely stunning!" Michelle exclaimed, breaking out of her trance. She couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between Linda, Mellisa, and Shina. Although she had always brushed it off, today it was hard to ignore. Despite their different eye colors, their features were so similar that it was difficult to believe it was just a coincidence. Nonetheless, Michelle kept her thoughts to herself and let Linda bask in the compliments. As Linda made her way down the stairs, Shina couldn't help but smile at her sister's playful demeanor. "Be careful not to trip, Linda. Remember, you're wearing heels," Shina warned with a grin.
"I won't fall easily, don't worry," Linda assured her friends as she joined Shina and Michelle, waiting for Melissa and Maxwell to arrive.
In no time, Maxwell descended the stairs, dressed in a blue trouser that hugged his legs, showcasing his muscular physique beneath the tight-fitting shirt he wore with two buttons undone, revealing his strong chest. His coal-black hair was neatly combed, adding to his already striking appearance. Linda, Shina, and Michelle couldn't help but admire him in awe.
"Okay, why are you all lost?" Maxwell asked, snapping the three of them out of their daze.
"You want Melissa to have a heart attack?" Michelle teased with a smirk.
"Just look at you, daddy. All the girls at the wedding will be envious of Melissa," Shina added, indicating her approval of Maxwell's appearance.
"I will cut their eyes if they dare to look at my husband ," Melissa said as she gracefully descended the stairs, donning a stunning long black dress made of shimmering fabric. The armless dress hugged her curves tightly, revealing a long V that showcased her milky legs. She paired the dress with silver heels and matching earrings, completing the look. Her hair was styled into waves and curls, framing her delicate features. Light makeup
"Oh my goodness, Melissa, you look absolutely stunning and ravishing!" Michelle's comment had Maxwell's jaw drop, and he gulped hard.
Linda chimed in with a smile, "You look so beautiful, dear Mommy."
And Shina added with a smirk, "Our sweet Melissa will always be a gorgeous sight to behold."
Melissa blushed and graciously replied, "Thank you all so much. You all look beautiful too." As she approached the group, she turned to her husband and said, "You look quite handsome, my love."
Maxwell's eyes roamed over his wife's figure, and he couldn't help but gulp at how incredibly hot she looked. His mind was racing with all sorts of naughty thoughts.
But Michelle quickly interjected, "Come on, guys, we're running late!" She sensed the thick tension in the air and knew it was time to move on.
"Right, let's get going," Melissa said, her face turning red with embarrassment. The way Maxwell was looking at her made her heart race, but she was excited for the day ahead
.....
Maxwell and Melissa, accompanied by their family, make their grand entrance into the wedding hall, and the atmosphere is filled with the sweet sound of laughter and music. The guests are in awe as they watch the family walk in, and it's almost too good to be true to see Maxwell and his family looking as stunning as ever at the wedding of a celebrity and a lawyer. The walls are adorned with beautiful white and pink roses, and the floor is covered in a soft, white carpet. The guests are dressed in their finest attire, and the bride and groom stand at the altar, radiating with joy. Maxwell and Melissa take their seats, and the ceremony commences. As the couple exchange their vows, Maxwell and Melissa look on with admiration, feeling the love in the room. After the ceremony, the guests move to the reception hall, where the celebration continues.
"Congratulations Pathy, you look absolutely stunning!" Mellisa exclaimed with a beaming smile. Maxwell, the perfect gentleman, pulled out a chair for Mellisa and sat next to her, facing Pathy and her husband.
"Thanks to you for making me such a beautiful dress," she said, turning to her husband Michael. "Baby, this is Melissa, and her husband . The one who made my wedding dress."
Michael was thrilled to meet Mellisa and her family. "Hi Mrs and Mr Williams, it is nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you, and I'm so happy that you have attended my wedding," he said with a smile. "I'm really honored to have such an influential man at my wedding."
Maxwell, too, was impressed by the couple's love and happiness. "It is a pleasure to meet you too. Congrats once again on your wedding," he said with a small smile.
As the four of them chatted about different topics and laughed, they couldn't help but enjoy the wedding. Suddenly, they were interrupted by a host who announced a couple dancing on the stage. Everyone was already gathered with their partners, dancing while a romantic song played in the background.
"May I have this dance?" Maxwell asked, his voice filled with excitement and anticipation, as he extended his hand towards Mellisa.
Mellisa's face lit up with a radiant smile as she eagerly accepted Maxwell's hand. The ballroom was a sight to behold, with twinkling lights and fragrant flowers creating an enchanting atmosphere. The soft music playing in the background was simply mesmerizing, beckoning couples to the dance floor.
Mellisa and Maxwell stood in the center of the dance floor, swaying gently to the rhythm of the music. Their eyes locked in a loving gaze, and their smiles were contagious, spreading joy to everyone around them.
Maxwell's left hand rested tenderly on the small of Mellisa's back, pulling her in closer to him. His right hand held hers tightly, their fingers entwined in a loving embrace. Mellisa placed her right hand on her husband's shoulder, leaning in close to him, her head resting against his chest.
It was a moment of pure bliss, and the love between them was palpable. It was a sight to behold, and one couldn't help but feel overwhelmingly optimistic about the power of love and the beauty of life.
The couple's movements on the dance floor were truly remarkable. Their bodies moved in perfect unison, gliding effortlessly across the floor as the tempo of the music changed. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and the woman couldn't help but laugh as her husband caught her smoothly, their bodies swaying in perfect harmony once again.
As the song came to an end, the couple slowed to a halt, and the lights came on. However, Mellisa found herself alone on the dance floor. She looked around and saw that everyone had taken their seats, but Maxwell was nowhere to be found. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized that he was missing.
