Chapter 12 [The Lost Kingdom: A Lost Emperor (2)]

Two people were walking the wide hallways. One, a middle-aged man with a serious expression while the other was a long haired beauty.

The middle-aged man was leading the way while the silent beauty was roaming his eyes around.

Suddenly, the lead man stopped upon reaching in front of the room.

"Dearest newcomer, I wonder if you already have a name?"

"..Name? I have one. My name is Cr-"

The man looked surprised for a bit and then quickly cut him off. He shaked his head.

"I'm not talking about that. Instead, it's a fitting name to be used here at the Lost Kingdom. Take my name as an example, 'The Lost Attendant'. How is it? Is it understandable?"

"I see..."

Craig's thumb and index finger ended up in his chin.

He woke up and was brought here. It seems that his younger brother wanted him to stay here in his so called 'own kingdom'. But according to the novel, this was where the gathering of his real forces stayed and acted as normal people.

The Lost Kingdom was also the last place where the villain and the protagonist fought. And in order to fight Cerus, he needed to kill every single person in the kingdom. All of them felt gratefulness towards the villain and treat him as their savior.

The person infront of him, named the 'Lost Attendant' despite being a manager of the castle, may have a possibility of being a master knight, magician, assassin, alchemist, a poisonist or so on..

The list goes on for each citizen of this strange kingdom. Each was capable of being an esteemed one in an empire or a kingdom.

'In fact... If I want to leave, how do I do so?'

It felt impossible. I wouldn't be allowed to leave.

Despite this place being a heaven for the 'lost', this was actually a 'comfortable enough' place that they all trapped themselves in, including the villain.

According to the novel, this people who he treats as fellow lost ones were gathered throughout his 25 years of life and would be really completed five years later...

Craig looked at the 'Lost Attendant'. As the novel progressed, his true identity will soon be revealed. He was once a prince, not an attendant or anything related to that. Now, he wholeheartedly served Cerus as if he was a real attendant.

"Say, 'Lost Attendant'..."

"Yes, go on."

"Is there any base to what name you make? Like your past occupation or what?"

"It's possible and depends entirely on you. But..it would probably be better if you name yourself from something you have once wanted yourself to be."

Craig nodded.

'He's getting emotional.'

It makes sense he is, since that's how he named himself. Named after what he once wanted to be. An attendant.

'A prince wanting to be an attendant... I'm interested in the reason behind that.'

" Is it possible that someone actually named themselves 'The Lost Beggar' or 'The Lost Philosopher'?"

"Ah.. How did you know?"

'They really did..'

Craig took a deep breath and seriously thought about his nickname.

Well, how does 'The Lost Emperor' sound?

'Unfit for the circumstances.'

'The name of an imbecile.'

And as soon as I asked, two seemingly opposite viewpoints suddenly came to an agreement at once.

And as a person who trust them, I didn't pick that so they say it, awful nickname.

"Is it allowed even if I name myself really long?"

"How many words are we talking? "

"It's about five."

"I would probably suggest a shorter one. Like mine, just three words and my real nickname was only the last one."

".. I see. Then, how does 'The Lost Seeker' sound? "

"It's not bad. Did it derive from your previous choice? What was it exactly?"

"Well.. it's not a derived one..."
