[BL] Due to a rare condition, Vince’s end of the red string of fate is tied around his neck, while his soulmate's, Jack, is tied around his finger, like it’s supposed to be.

Theory says that if they "sleep" with someone that isn’t their soulmate, the string tightens on the other end, letting your soulmate know exactly what you are doing.
When Jack feels his string tightening, he feels heartbroken, and starts to sleep around with everybody as revenge, not knowing Vince was a victim of abuse.

When they finally meet, Vince is already suffocating.

Theo arrives at Jack’s dorm a couple hours later. He opens it with his own key, given to him after a lot of discussion and complaining about how much time he spent knocking at the other’s door. 


He's met with the sight of Jack on the floor, his head rested on the bed on top of his books. 


"Jack... You're gonna hurt your neck." He carefully shakes the Jack's body, trying to wake him up. 


Jack, still half asleep, gets up and lets himself be guided to his bed. 


Theo lays him down and covers him with the blanket. 


"No, Jack, it's just me." He feels his heart hurt for his friend. "Get some rest. You have a test tomorrow morning.” 


Jack sighs and turns around the bed, eyes still closed. 


"Sorry, Vin. I'm... I'm sorry." He mumbles before falling back asleep. 


Theo watches him for a moment, unsure of what to do. He's so tired of this situation. He's tired of seeing his best friend suffering.
