Arc 3.2 The Injured Bride

Arc 3.2

In an instant, Shi Zian appeared at Shen Jiyu's side, grabbing hold of his waist before he could fall. The body that fell into his hand was heartbreakingly frail. The young lady seemed to be as light as floating silk and there was no weight to her.

Shi Zian looked at the dirty, pitiful appearance, and he felt a stabbing pain in his heart, as if his chest was about to burst open. He felt like this person was not meant to suffer any harm or inconvenience.

"Young Master." Some of the mercenary troops came a little closer but still maintained their distance. They stared at the cultivator with a little fear and bewilderment in their eyes. They had been immensely shocked when they had seen the young master who could not even care when their member was shredded by a beast, kill the level two demon beast in one strike.

Shi Zian did not glance at them as he placed a hand on the lady's back to support her and continuously infused spiritual energy into her body. Taking a pill from his storage ring, he placed it gently between her lips. So soft, his fingers trembled and he withdrew his hands.

Shen Jiyu let out a light sigh and his face flushed with a rosy color. His pale, dry lips moved, but he could not muster the strength to speak. The feeling of Feng Mian holding his tired body was very warm and he slowly closed his eyes.

Shi Zian could feel his heart pounding slightly in fear when Shen Jiyu closed his eyes. Don't die. He wiped the dirt on her forehead and touched her brow. This was bad, the essence from the pill was not absorbed well into the diatian, Were her meridians injured?

He looked back at the huge mountainous forest and frowned. He had been here for so long, he did not see her go in. This was the safest entrance into the Boundless Forest and he had been here for a month. Where did this young lady come from? How long has she been in the forest and how did she survive? But seeing the extent of her injuries, she might not survive for long.

"Wait here!" Shi Zian said coldly to the group of men in the largest vessel and took out a sword from his storage ring. He leapt on top of the sword and it flew quickly towards the direction of the city.

His mind thought about the information that he had read up on the Mist City, there were two renowned healers that were in Foundation Building Stage and the one with the higher cultivation was Gao Su, he pinched his fingers towards the direction of the clinic and the sword sped up arriving there in a matter of minutes.

There was a large crowd in front of the small pavilion but Shi Zian bypassed them, heading straight to the foyer. A few guards rushed towards him, pulling out their swords as they warned him, "Stay back, there are rules in the Resurrection Pill Pavilion."

"Rules?" Shi Zian chuckled lightly and gestured with his fingers, tens of dark ice lances appeared in the air, each targeted to everyone in the foyer. The lances went down with frightening speed, pausing only when he heard a voice from inside the pavilion.

"Esteemed Senior, please hold your hand. Come in." An old man's voice sounded and Shi Zian stepped down from the sword, returning it to his storage ring and he walked into the room. The old man stood up to meet him, his eyes widening slightly as fear coloured his gaze. The guards might not know who this person is but how could he not know, Red flaming hair, silver eyes.

The Hunting Dog of the Seven Sins Sect.

He swallowed in terror. "I did not do anything…I"

"I did not come for you. Heal her." His words were crisp and cold as he placed the body on the bed.

The old healer looked at the woman, she was very thin and her bridal red clothes were soaked with blood, staining the blue bedsheets a bright red. Her hair was greasy and scattered but the  of a bridal hairdo with a silver hairpin was still visible,

The old healer sneaked a look at Shi Zian, did he steal someone's bride and the woman tried to run away and kill herself but this powerful man found her and brought her here. In his mind, he concocted over a million stories about how this happened.

Shi Zian knew the look the man was giving him, he wanted to explain but he did not say anything, he would not be believed anyway.

"What are you doing? She is dying!"

The old man hurried to the girl, he placed his hand on her stomach for a few minutes before he frowned, his face turning more solemn by the moment. "She is suffering from severe malnutrition and dehydration, that would be easier to solve, we would start her on a light meal and increase it till she gets better. She had severe external and internal injuries, they are not above my skills either. The main problem is her meridians, they were shattered and it would make it very difficult for even level 1 pills to be absorbed into her bloodstream, she can not absorb qi effectively, she.."

"She is a waste. Completely useless then." Shi Zian said, completing his sentence. That should be enough for him to turn and go, a cultivation waste is not someone he could use but he did not move, maybe the lady might have seen someone or something, he needed to carry out the task well and make up for his mistakes in eradicating the Su Family.

"The Five Coloured Plum…"

Shi Zian scoffed, "Like such a divine treasure capable of rebuilding meridians is something that really exists. Forget about her meridians, just heal her and wake her, I have some questions for her." He turned to leave before he looked at the healer and placed a little pouch on the table, the pouch shone and jiggle noisily as it landed on the table.

"Take Care of her." He said as he left.

The old healer swallowed, the only motivator that was stronger than fear was money. He rushed to the table and opened the pouch. There were about thirty spirit stones in the pouch, which would be enough for him to cultivate from the third stage of the Foundation Building to the fourth stage. He smiled and his eyes when he looked at the lady were softer than water.
