9| She heard our conversation?

Dawson.

Blanca can be loud sometimes. I told her times without numbers that I'll solve the adoption thing with Laura when the baby arrives.

I fucking have no idea why the doctor said her chances of getting pregnant again is too difficult. And I wanted to make Laura pay for that consequences by taking the baby from her.

My brain continued to talk to my inner self as I walked through the hallway. I'm heading to Laura's bedroom. I also need to discuss this plan with her.

I believe she won't have a doubt in her mind when it comes to money. People can do anything for finance, right? It's gonna be a big reward if she accepts.

But if she doesn't, I won't force her. I don't do things with force, I let it be if it says so.

I knocked softly on the door. "Laura?" I waited for an answer in one minute. No sign of response. I knocked again. "Laura? It's me. Please open up." Still nothing.

I took a deep breath and asked myself whether to knock again or just forget about it.

After contemplating for few seconds, I had courage to knock again. I did, still nothing. My brows furrowed a bit because I also guess she's out of the room.

I pushed the door open, slightly and peeped into the room. The whole place was a bit rummage with few cloths scattered around. The bedsheet is also messy.

And all these gave me reasons why I should go in.

"Laura?" I called out again. My voice blowing about in the room as I search around. "Laura?" There's nothing in the wardrobe. Hangers littered on the floor. The only thing I saw was….. nothing about her.

Fuck!

Hope it's not what am hallucinating? Because if it is….? I'll find her no matter what.

I ran out of the room and hurried downstairs.

"Where is Laura?" I asked the chefs. They said they haven't set eyes on her since this morning. One said she was in her room all day. I went to the butler, gardener, and other staff workers, they all told me the same thing I heard from the chefs.

God. Where the fuck did she go?

I scrap my fingers through my hair. Cold sweats broke out of my forehead and began to drip down my neck. Hypertension visited me so soon.

Blanca walked down the stairs, swaying her hips side by side as she descend majestically. "What's wrong, honey? Why are anxious?"

When I didn't say anything, she frowned, "Did they do some crazy this time? You can still get them fired."

She meant the staffs.

I completely ignored her and walked out to meet the security guard at the massive gate. Blanca followed me from behind.

"Did you see Laura?"

"Laura?" Seems like Blanca knew the reason why am anxious. "Isn't she upstairs, Dawson?"

I ignored her, so did the security guy. "She left here thirty minutes ago with two luggages."

My eyes and Blanca's bugged. "What?"

The security guy stare at us weirdly like we're 3D animation. "Sir, I thought you….. according to her, she said you asked her to leave?"

Blanca stare up at me, speechlessly. Our eyes both locked when I did the same to her.

"Is it obvious that she heard our conversation?" The words managed to escape my mouth after a while.
