Prologue

"Thud, thud. Thud, thud...."

The repeating sound from the barbarians equipped with different weapons marching in the plains right outside the city brings terror to the people.

-

From the watch tower, a soldier passed the message to the nearest guard stationed,

"Immediately inform the Lord! We are being attacked by the Calmanans estimated of an army of thousand men!"

-

In the forefront of the army beyond the City walls, a man with the most enormous build wearing a scaly cape and red paint over his face lead the barbarians,

"Fire, Aim, Shoot!"

Hundreds of flaming arrows pour down from the sky and set everything ablaze.

-

"Damn Calmanans! Wait till I crack those barbaric heads open!"

With the citizens frantic and in panic, a voice was heard from the coming group of men dressed in extravagant armors and a man, at the lead, gives off the aura so reassuring that people started to pray on him.

"Oh Lord, save us!"

"Save atleast this kid,"

"Avenge us, Milord!"

they uttered.

The man was the Lord of the City, Lord Cressos of Anbiel, in a grand white and gold armor.

As the Lord continue to walk he ordered his men,

"Igon, lead the evacuation of the nobles.

Fahr, lead the army and shoot back!

Reinforce the gate and send the news to Lord Acob. Tell him that I need his soldiers now!"

"Yes, Milord!" the two commander replied.

The man in jet black armor, Fahr, commanded the others to proceed towards the wall while the man in bulky silver armor, Igon, rode his horse and departed with the carriages carrying merchants and important figures away from the city.

In the opposite direction of the gate being attacked, a messenger came rushing and looking for Lord Anbiel, the master of the city currently attacked.

"I came from the dominion of Lord Acob, Milord."

"Right timing. I sent a mail just now, better he take an action before I ask of him."

"I believe that would be impossible, Milord. As of this morning, the City of Acob was burned to the ground and occupied by Calmanans. The good Lord sent his regards to inform you of the threat coming."

The bright look on the face of Lord Anbiel was soon dampen with sweat and shock from the hopeless scenario he was in.

To him and to the rest of Galdoa, his homeland, only the heavens could save them now. And beyond those eyes are their love ones falling from the tyranny and brutality of the enemy they never once thought could bring their doom.
