"Well.. looks like I'm going to get through another routine day." Noah spoke slightly bored as he prepared to go off to college.
"Novels have also become a boring thing these days...the old days were the best!"
There was a hint of nostalgia in Noah's bright eyes.
He was remembering one of the most miserable years that humans have lived in their history - the year 2020.
A malignant disease invaded the whole world, which resulted in the closure of schools, colleges, and all institutions... Literally, the world has stopped this year.
This was for the rest of the people, but for Noah, this year was the happiest of his days that he lived.....
This may sound rather harsh given that many people have lost their relatives or friends and many of their families.
But what a trick.
This was what Noah felt in those days. It was the best day of his life. No one had the right to change how he felt....
Noah's greatest concern in those days was to save money to pay the internet bill for the next month.....
But now the matter is very different, he has to go to college far from home and he must also study at home so as not to waste another year of his life.
He has lost passion in many of his hobbies because of all the fatigue he gets from this daily routine.
Noah did not realize that he had drowned in his thoughts until after he hit the door of the house.
"Well, I'll have to hurry up to get a spot on the college bus...." Noah threw all his past thoughts in the back of his head. There was a brutal race waiting for him on the college bus seats. It wasn't time to reminisce about the old days.
Noah opened the door and prepared to meet the usual breeze of air...but that didn't happen!!
There was only sharp darkness waiting for him at the exit of the door!!
Then Noah disappeared from this world forever..or maybe until one day.
.........
Western Qin - a border village.
An emaciated boy in tattered clothes was lying beside a semi-dried river.
*cough cough
"What happened?" Noah felt that the sentence he uttered in conjunction with what had happened to him recently was very familiar.
"Did you move to another world?" Noah wasn't ready to spoil this repeated scenario so he uttered the last sentence….
