Jiego Dane Santiago woke up one day in his shabby apartment with a family lawyer on his door telling him he’s the only surviving heir of the billionaire, Daniel Sy. He appreciated her more because of that, until the mere appreciation blossomed into romantic attraction and out of a sudden, he asked her to be his wife. “Oh wait! Love, do you remember Ricky? Your childhood friend from the province? You told me you want him to be your best man right? Have you contacted him yet?” 


I looked at Jiego with my eyes unblinking, hoping he gets the hint of my pinch on his knee under the table. 


“Oh! Yes, of course. I called him the other day but he wasn’t home. It was his wife who answered the phone. However, yes, I’m sure he’ll be willing. Josephine, his wife, has already told him by now.” 


I smiled. Good, at least this Mr. Sy is good with reading eyes and nonverbal hints. Julia chuckled, perhaps it was because the look on Aaron’s face or that she’s proud of my quick thinking. Whether it’s this or that, it doesn’t matter. Both are amusing to me.
