just an average life for an average girl until she finds a not so average drop dead gorgeous hunk on her door step looking for her. The Last Unicorn

Colt went running toward the sound of the scream. He ran around a corner and into a horrid patchwork creature. 


He could smell death on it as it staggered an attack. 


Colt countered it easily. The creature was hastily made. Colt didn't waste time bringing it down. 


Ruby closed her eyes and felt the magic growing. She reached out to the Gods, 'Protect me.' 


She opened her eyes and saw Simon back a step away, "What are you doing?" 


Ruby felt confident. She carried not just the hope of new life, but Colt's children. Proof of their bond. 


"You were told female unicorns held no real power; weren't you?" Ruby let magic fill her, "We are though. We carry life and we will protect it to the very death." 


Simon growled, "I will cut the life out of you and replace it with mine!" 


Ruby braced herself as Simon dove at her. 


Colt had broke through the door just in time.
