Alice opened her eyes slowly. She could still feel the pains flowing through her body. Somehow from her surroundings she could sense she wasn’t in the water anymore.
She tested her feet to see if she could put her weight on it but it still felt stiff. " It’ll take a while for your body to adjust itself", a voice said. It was Vladimir. He had already changed clothes and had his hands behind him. He gave her a reassuring smile.
"I was never wrong about you" he said. "You escaped from hell, not everyone can boast of doing that."
"You helped me remember?" Alice reminded him. " If you hadn’t showed up at the time you did I would still be stuck there with nothing to do. But there are troubling things I heard and saw and I fear the worst is yet to come."
