"So where are we going?" Vladimir asked. " There’s a vampire called Martin, I trust him, he can help us. But we need to find some of my friends."
"I see you’re getting allies" Vladimir said. "That’s good, we need all the help we can get for the war that’s about to come" They hailed a cab and Alice gave the directions.
They both sat at the back each staring at the window awkwardly. "So you had a child?" Vladimir asked.
"Yes I did", she replied, her gaze was still out the window. " For what its worth I’m sorry for your loss" He said, his voice sounded sympathetic. "Sometimes I wish I had acted differently. Leaving you like that was not the right decision to make."
"Can’t say I blame you", Alice said. "You were like a thousand years and you were confused. At least you didn’t kill me. You tried to keep me safe. I’ve come to realize that we can’t change our past. We can only make do with the present and do the best we can."
