The Daddy Sitter

Once again, William did it. Ava smiled bitterly. However, she still approached William. Somehow, there was something that attracted her to him.

"Paula... I'm glad you kept your promise," William said, smiling. But his eyes were filled with tears.

Ava swallowed hard. Her chest felt tight. The wounds William had suffered were not easily healed by anyone. If that's the case, where would there be room for another woman to enter his world?

"I'm not Paula," Ava murmured again, in a barely audible whisper. William didn't hear her.

Ava sat beside William, gazing at him with a sad expression. She didn't want to ruin this "reunion" moment between William and his wife. Sometimes, people need a friend they can confide in.

Secretly, Ava glanced at the photo in William's hand. Paula was smiling sweetly at the camera, holding a baby boy who was undoubtedly Lukas. A woman who appeared strong and authoritative. Ava herself felt a great liking for her, regardless of their resemblance.
