Ava's throat choked. She was nervous and panicking. Automatically, her hands covered her chest, as if those two hands could cover up her current appearance. After realizing that it was impossible, she even almost pulled the tablecloth to hide what might seem like half-nakedness at that moment... at least that's how William's eyes expressed it now.

It wasn't that Ava was embarrassed. But she was afraid that William would think that she was deliberately dressing up for him. She didn't want to look cheap, flirting with a man who didn't like her.

"Ava, don't cover up. You look stunning right now, and my dad thinks so too," Lukas chattered again.

"Hey, I didn't say anything," protested William nervously. He then walked, putting his work bag on the table near the wall, trying to cover up his embarrassment at being caught staring at Ava, who looked like an angel.
